Within walking distance are the local tennis courts and the village of Villa Collemandina with its locally renowned restuarants, known for their use of fresh local produce of the finest quality.

Local activities in and around Villa Collemandina, Tuscany
The Oricciella National Park and nature reserve is a 15 minute drive and has lots of wildlife, easy walks, a visitor centre, bar and restuarant.
The Garfagnana is the best area in Tuscany for walking. The scenery surrounding the farm is beautiful.
Horse riding, mountain biking and gorge walking as well as guided mountain walks are all available.

There are 2 excellent restaurants within 10 minutes walk. The Garfagnana is famous for its cooking, made using the excellent local ingredients. A midweek lunch with wine and coffee costs 9/10 euros, and in the evening a main course typically costs 7-10 euros.
From Pisa towards Lucca then on to Castenuovo di Garfagnana. Detailed directions provided.
English speaking mini-bus airport pick-up and taxi service can be arranged for only 90 euros each way.
