The villa is set on two levels. The entrance to the villa is on the ground floor where you enter into the courtyard, terrace and pool area. On the ground floor you will find 1 double bedroom, a twin bedroom and also a shower room with WC. Stairs then lead you up into the main living area.
The living and dining area is very bright and spacious with windows on both sides. The living area has been tastefully and elegantly furnished. The double French doors leading from the lounge allow you to enjoy the amazing meandering views across the valley from the comfort of you own armchair. They also give you access to the terrace and pool area. The lounge has the use of a CD player and English TV.
The master bedroom is also situated on the first floor and has the luxury of its own large and modern bathroom. All of the bedrooms have their own mobile fans.
The kitchen can be found on the first floor and comes fully fitted with fridge freezer, cooker, toaster, juicer, blender, washing machine, iron & board etc…
The pool area is very spacious & secluded and has the most fantastic views. There is outside furniture including sunloungers for you to relax in comfort. You also have use of a barbecuing area for those laid-back summer evenings.
Cortijo Grande is the perfect location for golfers & non-golfers alike. Relax in the perfect countryside surroundings or take part in the many activities the Valley has to offer, such as horse riding, tennis & hiking over the impressive nature trails that stretch over 100 of acres of unspoilt parkland. There is a water park 15 minutes drive away. A choice of 5 golf courses within 25 minutes drive. There is a zoo 25 minutes away. Also there a 2 western cowboys sets from the spaghetti westerns to visit.
The region of Almeria is one of the most charming & unspoilt areas in south-eastern Spain. Enjoying the sunniest & warmest climate in the whole of Europe, it is known as ‘El Rincon del Embrujo’ or ‘the corner of enchantment’. This is the real Spain!
Mojacar village is an idyllic mix of sugar-cubed whitewashed buildings, cobbled winding streets & beautiful Moorish architecture. The main square looks across to the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada mountains & is filled with street cafes, bars, boutiques & shops. Take a stroll through the maze of cobbled streets hidden behind the main square & you will find some wonderful restaurants & bars.
The area has many archaeological sites revealing Phoenician, Roman & Carthaginian histories. Visits to the local markets are very popular: Mojacar on Wednesdays, Garrucha on Fridays & Vera on Saturdays.
Garrucha is the nearest town, about three miles away. It is a little fishing port with interesting fish & street markets.
Granada is one of Spain’s most interesting & beautiful ancient cities. After a pleasant drive through the mountains, visit - on foot - the 14C Alhambra, the citadel of the Caliphs of Granada, perched on a hill overlooking the city, & the nearby Generalife gardens. Then on to the cathedral where, in the Capilla Real (royal chapel), the Catholic monarchs Ferdinand II of Aragon & Isabella of Castille are buried, & the Silk Bazaar.
