We are proud to offer this beautifully presented 2 bedroom property in the picturesque village of Kokkino Horio, which is only 3.9kms from the sandy beaches and many amenities in Almirida, or 1 minutes walk from the excellent taverna and mini-market in Kokkino Horio itself.
Villa Troodos is a pretty split level villa with sea views that is the perfect retreat for either a romantic couple or for a small family. This very charming villa combines traditional features such as cypress wood ceilings, with all modern comforts including air conditioning and mosquito screens in the bedrooms, satellite TV, washing machine, dishwasher and BBQ.
The gorgeous garden and pool area give total peace and privacy. The garden was designed by a professional gardener and includes exotic plants and shrubs including birds of paradise, jasmine, and bougainvillea. There are terraces and a pergola in the garden with a BBQ and a table for eating ‘al-fresco’.

The owners have tastefully decorated this lovely villa in a very Cretan style incorporating cypress wood beamed ceilings in the bedrooms, and traditional blue and white colours throughout, including the bathroom tiles, the kitchen cupboards and the traditional bedspreads.
Villa Troodos has been beautifully designed and finished to a very high standard. There are pretty wrought iron style beds, A/C units, and mosquito screens in the bedrooms. The lounge area has double doors that open out onto a covered sea facing terrace that is furnished with a dining table and chairs. The living room also has many thoughful touches including a Danish-style woodburning stove, 2 comfortable couches (one of which folds out to provide extra sleeping for 2 persons), satellite TV, a DVD player, a stereo system, and a glass cabinet which houses DVD's, books, and puzzles for your entertainment.
The fully fitted kitchen has a door leading out onto a terrace which overlooks the pool and garden area, and is furnished for outside dining. The pretty kitchen has a large inventory and is incredibly well equipped with every major appliance including, ceramic hob, built-in oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and microwave.
The 2 bedrooms are accessed by separate wooden steps (one set is up from the lounge and one set is just below the lounge), and both have sea views and their own fully tiled shower rooms.
The front of the property has a gate and a large private parking area, and is screened by a natural stone wall that is covered with a fabulous mature bougainvillea. The rear garden is secluded and completely private and has an ivy covered wall, and a gate that is completely covered in sweet smelling jasmine. The large swimming pool cannot be overlooked at all and is next to the BBQ area that is shaded by a pergola and large date palms.

From the myriad blues of the clear, calm, ever changing Mediterranean seas, the clean white, sandy beaches, the white Lefka Ori mountains, with the longest gorge in Europe, lush silver-green olive and orange groves, the scent of wild thyme and majestic pine trees surrounding unspoilt villages, even the occasional donkey - Crete has it all.
The approximate drive time from Chania International Airport is 45 minutes. From Heraklion, where it is possible to get cheaper flights, the transfer time is approximately 100 - 110 minutes.
