Kyra’s House is a lovely modern split level villa in a small row of villas, nestled on a terraced hillside only 200m from the sandy beach of Almyrida. The villa is conveniently positioned in the middle of the row, next to the entrance archway to the pool terrace, which gives quick and easy access to the swimming pool.
Both the pool terrace and the villa’s 2 balconies have fabulous uninterrupted views of the olive clad hills that surround the village and The White Mountains which are snow capped for at least 6 months of the year.
Just 3-4 minutes walk from the beach and many excellent tavernas, cafes and shops, this villa is a great choice for those seeking value for money, beautiful views, comfortable accommodation, and easy access to the many local amenities.

The villa’s design has been carefully thought out so that all of the balconies, terraces, and the pool area benefit from the marvellous mountain and olive covered hill and valley views. The living area has prime position on the top floor of Kyra’s House whilst the bedrooms are on the lower levels, which helps to keep them cooler during the long hot summer months.
The villa has been thoughtfully and comfortably furnished with everything that you could possible need for a relaxing holiday. The 2 shower rooms and the cloak room are fully tiled. The shower rooms have blue and grey tiles, the cloak room has terracotta and white tiles, and they all have white suites. The walls throughout the villa are painted white, and there are white aluminium window frames, shutters and doors which enhance the villa’s light and airy feel which is perfect for the long hot summers here on Crete.

Local activities in and around Plaka, Crete
The Apokoronas area is just east of the beautiful, historic Venetian city of Chania and includes the beach villages of Almerida and Kalives, the traditional villages of Plaka, Vamos, Gavalohori, Kokkino Horio, and country villages such as Kefalas and Litsarda.
From the myriad blues of the clear, calm, ever changing Mediterranean seas, the clean white, sandy beaches, the white Lefka Ori mountains, with the longest gorge in Europe, lush silver-green olive and orange groves, the scent of wild thyme and majestic pine trees surrounding unspoilt villages, even the occasional donkey - Crete has it all.
The approximate drive time from Chania International Airport is 45 minutes. From Heraklion, where it is possible to get cheaper flights, the transfer time is approximately 100 - 110 minutes.
