Part of a private holiday village on the edge of Jard sur Mer, Southern Vendèe, this studio is an ideal 'get away' in all seasons. Very private and secluded it is also within easy reach of the bustling seaside village of Jard sur Mer and just 18kms south of the well-known resort of Les Sables d'Olonne.

Situated on the second floor (top) the apartment comprises one principle room furnished with double sofa-bed, two easy chairs, dining table and chairs, colour TV/DVD player, CD/radio/cassette player and has sliding doors to the balcony with views onto the pine woods.
The sunny, but secluded, south facing balcony has table and chairs for outside dining and the separate Kitchen, which also has a glazed door to the balcony, has electric hob, combination microwave/grill/convector oven, fridge, plenty of crockery, cutlery and cookware.
Bathroom with full sized bath with shower over, hand basin and storage. Separate toilet. A basement storage room houses bicycles for guests to use and is a handy place for storing luggage.
The private residence of Parc de la Grange is set in 50 acres of well maintained pine and evergreen oak woodland which reach down to the sea. Mainly small bungalows plus two apartment buildings, there is also a hotel with restaurant and bar which is open to non-residents. The hotel also has tennis courts which can be hired.
There are many tracks and pathways throught the pine and evergreen oak woods, taking walkers up to right up to Point du Payre. On the other side of the forest is an area of 'Marais' a real haven for wildlife. The other side of this is Talmont St Hilaire, with Richard the Lionhearts castle and a short distance from here is Port du Bourgenay, with a popular golf course.

The nearest beach is sandy, generally quiet and rock pools are revealed at low tide - good for paddling and pottering. Plages des Mines (5mins northwards) is a popular, large sandy beach with café in high season. Moving southwards from Jard sur Mer are other popular beaches such as Le Rocher, Les Conches, La Terriere and, of course, La Tranche sur Mer. The beaches are clean and safe (with life guards) though waves can be large. Les Conches and La Terriere have beach cafés and surfing school in summer.
