Stonehaven is a very popular town lying only a short commuting distance by dual carriageway South of Aberdeen, on the coast. The town has a full range of shops and excellent services.
Leisure facilities are well catered for with Stonehaven Leisure Centre, a seasonal outdoor pool and a putting green. There is also an 18 hole golf course on the nearby cliff tops and the sheltered harbour is ideal for yachting.
The town, once a substantial fishing port, still retains much of its historic interest and the ruin of Dunnottar Castle to the south is a great tourist attraction. Regular bus and rail links also serve the town.
The house is ideally situated to explore the castles of Aberdeenshire, the coastal trails or the many distilleries on the malt whisky trail. Whether visiting friends or family, on business, or on holiday, Ellerslie House is the ideal place to stay and discover the Grampian area.
