Red Horse Barn is on the outskirts of the Cotswold village of Tysoe. It sits in its own South facing grounds, bounded by open fields and wooded hillside. It has been lovingly restored and equipped to the highest standard, ensuring guests feel comfortable and at home.
The owners take great care to make sure their guests feel warmly welcomed. They are on hand for guidance, and respectful of guests' need for privacy.
Tysoe (from the ancient Anglo-Saxon "Tiw's Hoh", meaning a spur of land dedicated to the war-god Tiw) is at the heart of one of the most beautiful parts of England between South Warwickshire and North Oxfordshire. It is surrounded by pretty working farms and idyllic walking countryside. The area offers a huge range of sporting, cultural and historical activities. Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and Stowe-on-the-Wold are within 30 minutes drive. Horse racing and riding, golf, gliding, off-road cycling, rambling, go-carting and clay-pidgeon shooting are all in the vicinity.
From the moment you step into the limstone floored hallway of Red Horse Barn you will be aware that the house has been converted to an unusually high standard.
The large oak-floored sitting room welcomes you with a wood-burning fire and country-house sofas. Large french windows open onto a private terraced garden, overlooking open fields. Original paintings decorate the walls, interesting books line the shelves and there is a good music system with surround sound, TV, DVD and family board games.
A study bedroom with two single beds and its own limestone tiled shower-room opens off the sitting room.
The large farm-house styled kichen dining room creates an L-shape to the building. It has terra-cotta floors and solid oak cupboards, a large modern range cooker, dishwasher, fridge and all the dishes and equipment that you would need to make cooking a pleasure. The kitchen has its own separate larder and utility room with washing machine, drier and large larder fridge.
[There are numerous local farm shops, butchers with locally sourced meat, bakers with their own breads, a fishmonger with fresh fish (and supermarkets if needed) ensuring that the best produce is at hand. Tysoe itself has a butcher, post office, hairdresser and mini-market].
Upstairs are three large double bedrooms, each individually decorated and furnished. All the rooms have en-suite bathrooms, two with showers and one with bath and shower. One of the double beds can be converted into twin beds. Linen and towels are provided. All have splendid views of the countryside.

Horse racing, golf, gliding, off-road cycling, rambling, go-carting and clay-pidgeon shooting are all in the vicinity. Two riding schools nearby can provide lessons and trekking. Hunting can be arranged at a local livery yard. Tysoe is on the Oxfordshire cycle way and has numerous footpaths and bridleways. Compton Verney, 5 miles away is now a leading art centre. Stratford-on-Avon, home of the Royal Shakespeare Company has three theatres. The owners will arrange tickets subject to notice and availability. Oxford with its colleges, art galleries, theatres, cinemas and historic architecture is 25 miles away.
