Come to our lovely new log cabin set deep in the Andalusian countryside! During your stay you have exclusive use of the large swimming pool set next to the cabin.
This is one of the few civilized places in Andalucia where you have no noise from neighbours, dogs traffic etc. yet is only 4 minutes from the town of Pizarra of 7000 inhabitants which cannot be seen or heard. For somebody that loves peace and quiet this is a lttle paradise.
The cabin is new and so is everything in it. It sleeps four, the smaller bedroom has bunk beds. It is fully equipped and of top quality.
The open American style kitchen has a microwave oven, gas cooker, washing machine, fridge and freezer. The open plan lounge is equipped with air-con and TV with DVD player.
Due to the situation of the land (behind a huge mountain rock), which is full of nooks, crannies and caves, this is a wonderful place for bird watchers.
In front of the finca is the green valley of the river Guadalhorce, which is the most important river in the province of Malaga. It flows from beyond the dams at El Chorro.

Local activities in and around Pizarra, Costa del Sol - Malaga
Pizarra is to be found 30km to the north of the capital of the province Malaga, to one side of the river Guadalhorce. To the north is Alora, ad to the south and west Cartama, to the east Casarabonela and south west Coín. It has a surface area of 64,08 km2, of roughly 8.5 km square, and is at an elevation of 80m above sea level. The mountain above called Sierra de Gibralmora is 447 metres above sea level.
The approx. 7000 inhabitants of the Pizarra region come from Zalea (617), Cerralba (509) barriada Hipólito (137) and Pizarra town itself (4,963). Numerous bars and restaurantes are available for local delicacies and refreshments, and many festivals and events occur throughout the year to give you a real taste of rural Spain.
Within easy access are the wonderful cities of Malaga, Seville, Granada, Cordoba and Ronda to name but just a few. To see these you should hire a car or take the train.

El Chorro
El Chorro is famous for its three freshwater lakes surrounded by fabulous countryside and a couple of really good local restaurants with a wide selection of food, at very reasonable prices.
There are a variety of activities including mountain and rock climbing (this area is number 1 for for so many climbs of varying difficulty), bird watching, walking, hang gliding (with club and school) mountain biking, boating, sailing and for those less active also providing tranquility, stunning scenery, turquoise blue lakes.
El Chorro has its own railway station (as featured in Von Ryans Express). There is also a local bus service to both Alora and Ardales.
Malaga
Malaga (30mins drive) with its abundance of festivals is a bustling, sophisticated city and relatively tourist free.
Its great to take life at an easier pace in the ancient café lined streets and visit the cathedral and newly re-opened Alcazaba castle, or go for a spot of culture by visiting the new Picasso Museum.
For botanical splendour, La Concepción offers 30,000 square metres of old tropical garden with nearly 5,000 plants belonging to some 500 different tropical and subtropical species.
From Pizarra you can take the train or bus.
Benalmadena, Torremolinos, Puerto Banus and Marbella offer beaches and a variety of nightlife with a distinctly international feel, popular with locals and tourists alike.
The coast is easily accessible by car on new roads or there is an air-conditioned and inexpensive train linking Pizarra to the coast.
Carrtraca (6 Km)
Spa Baths which are Roman in their splendour. A spring of sulphurous water flows from the mountainside at a rate of 700 litres per minute. Two magnificent oval baths are surrounded by columns and a connecting architrave, their enclosing walls set with brilliant blue and yellow tiles.
Ardales National Park Bobastro
An area of stunning beauty of forests and mountains. Within the Park is a remote area on top of one of the many mountains is a place called Bobastro. Here you can see the ruins of a fort built in the year 900 by Umar Ibn Hafsun.Who is said to have set up a kingdom in defianceof the Caliph of Cordoba. His conversion to Christianity resulted in an amazing Church been built, hewn from a single huge boulder.
El Torcal (35 km)
Now a Nature Park the towering shapes of the rocks and limestone pillars forged by elements over the centuries.
Antequera (35 km)
The Romans settled in Antequera both in the city itself and in the newly discovered settlement of Singilia Barba to the west. But religion, particularly Christianity, gives the city its overriding character today. Nowhere can be seen so many churches, about 24 in all. The Moorish castle fell to the Christians in 1410 after a siege lasting 5 months. Local legend says that far below the city passages run underground ? to obtain water during the siege? No - more importantly because the besieged needed women!
The Lake of Fuente De Piedra (38km)
One of the largest natural lakes in Spain, is also known as "The Pink Lagoon" because of the flocks of flamingos that arrive during their winter migration from Africa.
