The property is a privately owned, luxurious, non-smoking, two bedroom pine lodge set in a slightly elevated position within South Lakeland Leisure Village. Its tasteful decor, comfortable furnishings and added homely touches create a delightful ambience for a peaceful and relaxing break.
Of course, if it's action you prefer, its location at the gateway to the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Morecambe Bay make it ideally situated to take advantage of the many activities available in the area. The on site Leisure Centre has a large heated swimming pool, steam room, gymnasium, fitness centre and beauty therapy suite with a full range of luxury face and body treatments. Temporary, discounted membership is available for family groups. The excellent Waters Edge Restaurant with its cosy cocktail bar serves Mediterranean and English cuisine and looks out over the lake with an outdoor decking area for those lazy, sunny days. Less formal bar meals are served throughout the day.

Entertainment includes a TV with video, Freeview, DVD player, CD audio system with radio, as well as local interest books, novels, maps and board games.
The hallway has a storage cupboard and cloakroom with boot rack for outdoor shoes. The fully equipped kitchen has lots of cupboard space and includes oven, hob, microwave with grill, toaster, fridge freezer and dish washer, complete with crockery, cutlery, pans and utensils. The master bedroom has a radio alarm clock and ample wardrobe and drawer space along with an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has twin beds, radio alarm clock, fitted wardrobe and drawer unit. Duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels are all provided. Guests are asked to bring their own towels for use in the leisure centre. All beds have memory foam mattress toppers. The separate family bathroom with 3-piece suite is the perfect place for a relaxing soak after a day in the great outdoors. The lodge is fully double glazed and the efficient central heating system can be supplemented by an electric fire set in a feature fireplace to ensure year round comfort.
South Lakeland Leisure Village is an exclusive, luxury lakeside resort offering every creature comfort to ensure you have a relaxing holiday. Non-motorised sport is allowed on the lake for guests who bring their own craft. There is also a small beach for the little ones to enjoy and a sports field for informal games. Water sports available on adjacent Pine Lake Resort.

Local activities in and around Carnforth, North
The Lake District National Park is famous for its unsurpassed scenery, awe-inspiring fells and dramatic mountains. A walker’s paradise that offers so much, from museums and cultural history to lake cruises, excellent shopping and an abundance of fine restaurants. Historic Kendal is the gateway to the Lake Ditrict and offers a wide range of traditional shops.
The Yorkshire Dales National Park is easily accessed via the traditional market town of Kirkby Lonsdale wher the River Lune offers opportunities to walk or picnic on its banks. Scenic drives will bring you to historic castles, ruined abbeys or stately homes and gardens. Easy riverside strolls or full day treks along the Pennine Way are available to suit any age and all ability ranges. Nearby the spectacular Forest of Bowland is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and opens up rural Lancashire.
Right on the doorstep Arnside and Silverdale, also an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is perhaps less well known yet those who explore the area will be well rewarded. Leisurely strolls along Morecambe Bay contrast with more serious walking up the limestone crags of Arnside Knott and Warton Crag. Leighton Moss RSPB nature reserve has activities throughout the year and is a tourist attraction not to be missed; birds of prey are flown regularly. Leighton Hall stately home has a good collection of antique furniture and some panoramic views over to the Lake District.
Carnforth, famous for the 1943 film Brief Encounter, is a busy town with a variety of interesting shops, a heritage centre in the railway station and two supermarkets. There are almost unlimited opportunities for leisure activities including walking, rambling, climbing, cycling, golfing, sailing, fishing, windsurfing, water skiing and bird watching. Leaflets, maps and local interest books are provided in the lodge along with details of many local restaurants.
