Mas St Louis is a great property and the countryside, tranquillity and views surrounding it are stunning. This is a traditional stone built farmhouse in the very heart of the Luberon which can very comfortably accommodate 8 people.
For most visitors, the thick stone walls and traditional shutters at the windows will be much welcomed to help you stay cool. That said, the same thick stone walls and the traditional fireplace inside the house would also make the house feel lovely and warm and cosy for winter evenings as well.
This property offers a good standard of accommodation, tranquility, tradition, privacy and is right in the midst of lovely countryside.

The house has an unusual setting on the side of a hill so the property is laid out over three levels and with 120m², there’s plenty of space.
At ground level there is a very well equipped kitchen with most things that you will need eg Fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher etc. There is a smaller dining table and chairs here, the main one being in the lounge area.
The lounge is reached via a few steps from the kitchen and here you’ll find a couple of comfy sofas, a television and a lovely fireplace for the cooler evenings in winter time.
There are four good bedrooms consisting of a couple of double rooms and a couple of rooms with single beds. There are plenty of bathroom facilities; three WCs, one bathroom, one shower room and another shower room outside.
In summer time, the outside is likely to be where you spend most of your time and it doesn’t disappoint! There is a lovely terrace just outside the kitchen and lounge doors and just a few steps away is your very own 8 metre X 4 metre swimming pool.
There is a second terrace as well if you fancy a change of scenery and as well as the 1500m of land around you (there are no neighbours in sight), you have the whole valley all to yourselves! There is obviously plenty of garden furniture for either relaxing by the pool or dining al fresco.
Down to the nitty-gritty. Towels and bed linen can be supplied if required at an additional fee of 8 euros per person and if you don’t fancy doing too much housework, the end of stay cleaning service can also be supplied for a fee of 50 euros. There is also a damage deposit payable locally of 500 euros.

The scenery around this part of the Luberon is stunning. There are views in all directions and the property is ideally placed for some marvelous countryside walks.
The peace and tranquility is broken only by the sounds of the crickets and the bells of distant goats as they forage in the hills - it really is idyllic!
There are many Regional summer festivities: Theater in Avignon, Opera in Aix and Orange, Jazz festival in La Roque d’Antheron and many antique fairs and flea markets.
There is Tennis available in Apt or Bonnieux, horse riding in Apt, mountain bikes for rent in Bonnieux.
There are some excellent restaurants in the area and in particular in Buoux, the Auberge de la Loube is only 1km away - so you don't even have to drive!
If you like the idea of a visit to the coast, in one day you can easily go to the coast, take a swim in the warm waters of the Mediterranean and return in the early evening.
By Car - The village of Buoux lies just 1km away (2kms by car) and Apt and Bonnieux are 10 minutes drive. Avignon and Aix-en-Provence: 50 minutes drive and Marseille airport is just over the hour.
By Air - Marseille and Nimes Airports are the nearest - approximately 60 minutes drive away.
By Train - The high speed TGV service runs directly from London or Paris to Avignon, approximately 50 minutes away.
