Atlantic Retreat is a large, three bedroom property which has been finished to the highest of standards and less than two years old. It is situated on a stunning piece of land approximately three quarters of an acre in size, fenced off with ample room for children and dogs to run around and burn off excess energy.
The views are 180 degrees from the entire property, taking in the rugged West Cork coastline, the Atlantic Ocean in a panoramic vista and the adjoining West Cork countryside. A truly private yet stunning position.
The house has a large, open plan, fully fitted and equipped kitchen, an entertainers delight! Adjoining is the large, very comfortable dining room with an open fireplace. Another more private sitting room boasts a second open fireplace with lounge seating and television, through this room one moves into the conservatory with the vaulted, open ceiling, a lovely setting designed with nothing more in mind than to relax. A seperate downstairs utility room with washing machine/dryer, toilet and sink is off the kitchen.
Upstairs is a broad spacious landing from which the three bedrooms and the main bathroom is accessed. Views from the bedrooms are sweeping out to the Atlantic Ocean and the high cliffs along the coastline.
All bedrooms are decorated tastefully and are large, cosy and comfortable. The main bedroom has an ensuite with toilet and shower.
Oil Fired Central Heating and the two fireplaces keep the place as warm in winter as in the summer and is a great place to come, even on on the coldest of winter days.

Rugged peninsulas, clean beaches, towering mountains and some of Ireland's most famous landmarks. West Cork is famous for its natural beauty. A favourite holiday destination for generations, West Cork offers a wide variety of vacations and breaks - from gourmet heaven in Kinsale to the bustle of Dingle, from the lushness of Killarney National Park not far away in Kerry, to the wild Atlantic views at Mizen Head.
The region is historically and culturally important and still has a number of Gaeltacht areas. Visits to islands such as the Blaskets, Garnish and Cape Clear are particular treats while the Ring of Kerry and Killarney town remain firm favourites year after year.
The coastal road that Atlantic Retreat is on, has to be one of the most spectacular roads along the West Cork coastline. As it winds itself close to the clifftop that protects the region from the pounding Atlantic Ocean, it provides some of the most stunning views to be seen in the area.
Several beaches dotted along the road are a great place to spend the warm summer days. The Tragumna Blue Flag Beach is six kilometres away and is a favoured location for families to swim. Castletownshend only four and a half kilometres away boasts some lovely restaurants, cosy pubs as well as a pier from which fishing trips and whale watching can be organised. A first class location in one of the most scenic areas of Europe.
