The apartment is a 10 minute stroll to the local beaches, and is also within walking distance of a number of restaurants, and other local facilities. The balcony overlooks the communal swimming pool and is ideal for (al fresco ) dining, or just relaxing with a good book. A natural hot spring and spa centre at Alchena can be reached by car within 2 hours.
Within an hours driving distance is the city of Alicante, with its imposing castle rising above the city, the nature reserve at Elche, the hot springs near Murcia, the port city of Cartenaga with the roman ruins, and port area, from which boat trips can be taken round the harbour. The towns around the nearby area also have many daily local markets, where fresh produce, along with leather, fabrics, plants, shoes, clothing can be purchased.
Other ammenities include bowling and nightclubs at Torrevieja, a cinema at pilar de la horradada and many restaurants and bars within a 15 minute drive. For the sporting there are many golf courses within a 15 to 25 minute drive, also swimming, jet skis. horse riding, cycling, hiking etc.
