The flat is situated in the picturesque village of Cellardyke in the East Neuk of Fife, only ten miles from St Andrews, the home of golf. It is a newly renovated and decorated former fisherman's house and particular care has been taken in choosing the furniture and fittings to ensure a high standard of holiday accommodation. It has beautiful sea views of Cellardyke Harbour and May Island in the Firth of Forth.
As of 14th July 2007 we have been awarded VisitScotland 4* self-catering status.
The flat forms the second and third floors of a terraced property overlooking the picturesque harbour of Cellardyke. On the second floor is the newly fitted kitchen/dining room complete with new appliances - hob, oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher. It has plenty of food preparation and storage space and a good range of dishes, glasses, cutlery, utensils etc.
The dining table seats 6 comfortably and you can enjoy a beautiful view of Cellardyke Harbour while sitting here. Feel free to use our binoculars. The comfortable, spacious living room, with double sofa bed and feature fire place, also has a sea view, and has flat screen television, radio/CD player and plenty of books for children and adults, lego, jigsaw puzzles etc. The WC/Utility room located between the living room and the kitchen/dining room houses the washing machine, condenser dryer, freezer and iron. There is also a hairdryer provided.
On the top floor is the double bedroom with double bed and excellent sea views over the rooftops from the Velux window. The twin bedded room also has excellent views over the harbour and both bedrooms have plenty of shelves and hanging space for clothes. The bathroom is located between the bedrooms and has a shower over the bath - you can see May Island from the shower!
There is a travel cot, high chair and stair gates if you have a baby or small child. The flat benefits from a new gas central heating system throughout the property and on the top floor the velux windows are double glazed. There is also an outbuilding convenient for storing golf clubs, bicycles, push chairs etc. Two adult bikes are available to borrow. The garden has a large, newly built decking area with sea views and has comfortable garden furniture and a barbecue to let you make the most of the warm summer evenings.

Local activities in and around Anstruther, Central Scotland
The flat is ideally situated for familes, couples or groups of friends who wish to explore the East Neuk of Fife's picturesque villages of Anstruther, Pittenweem, St Monans, Elie, Crail and St Andrews. It is ideal for golfers of all abilities with many golf courses in and around St Andrews (the home of golf), 2 courses at Crail, Anstruther, Elie, Charleton, Lundin Links and Carnoustie, where the 2007 Open took place, is less than an hour's drive away. The Fife Coastal Path passes through Anstruther to Crail. Anstruther is home to the Scottish Fisheries Museum and also renowned for the award winning Anstruther Fish Restaurant.
Crail has an interesting Museum and Heritage Centre and a well-established working pottery. Scotland's Secret Bunker is four miles west of Crail and is where central government and military commanders would have run the country had the UK been attacked and nuclear war broken out. The Isle of May lies 6 miles off the coast and trips can be taken from Anstruther to view the breeding sea birds.
St Andrews is home to the British Golf Museum, the St Andrews Aquarium and Seal Sanctuary and the Byre Theatre which has a varied diary of events. St Andrews Cathedral, Castle, Museum and St Rule's Tower are all well worth visiting as are the Botanic Gardens. The East Sands Leisure Centre would be ideal for a family day out if the weather was not so good. St Andrews also has a cinema on North Street. The University is the oldest in Scotland dating back to 1410. St Andrews has an excellent range of restaurants - The Grill House, The Doll's House, The Glass House, Nahm Jim, Bella Italia, Ziggy's, The West Port, The Seafood Restaurant to name just a few. Cambo Gardens in nearby Kingsbarns have 70 acres of woodland carpeted with snowdrops and spring bulbs open to the public. The Scottish Deer Centre at Cupar is worth a visit too. Edinburgh and Dundee are both within travelling distance.

Sunday 1st - Thursday 5th June 2008 Rounds played at Kingsbarns, The Dukes at St Andrews and The Torrance and the Devlin at Fairmont St Andrews courses. 72 Hole Handicap Stableford Event. Ladies and Gents play in the same event and play together in an open draw.
Simple to find by following the signposts for the Fife Coastal Tourist Trail to Anstruther - Cellardyke is next village and is a continuation of Anstruther.

Rental Notes: Weekly rentals from 4 pm Saturday - 10 am the following Saturday. All rentals include central heating and hot water, electricity and gas, bed linen and towels, provision of travel cot, high chair and stair gates.
