The house is set on approx 1/2 acre of land, with is shielded from the road by good tree/hedge cover. There is room to park 3 cars comfortably, on the stone based drive. The house has 5 bedrooms (sleeping 13), 1 of which is downstairs, bathroom and separate toilet both downstairs and upstairs. Their is a separate dining room with patio doors opening to the side of the house. The swimming pool is secured by a 1.5m fence, so reassuring with the kids.

You visit this place once, you can be rest assured you will be back, guaranteed! I have been going here since I was 14, its that good! People are friendly, local produce is second to none, fresh bread baked with recipies going back decades. Fresh seafood, shellfish. It really is an unspoilt part of the world and hopefully it will remain so. St Armel is a tranquil, seductive place, I can guarantee a return. Nearby is the town of Vannes, which boasts great shops, bi-weekly markets and a port where you can enjoy lunch whilst looking at the marina.
And that's not even the house! The house is great, 5 bedrooms, all with plenty of room (2 bedrooms with double bed, 1 bedroom with 2 double beds, 1 bedroom with a double and single bed and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds + 1 baby's travel cot). A downstairs living room with a dinning room just off, catering for 10+ people. All windows have shutters, which is nice when you need that lie-in. Plenty of parking space, you could even charge the locals!
If you time your visit properly there are lots of traditional festivals at the local villages serving traditional merguez and frites.

Real Fire, House Linen, Towels Provided. All beds are made with duvets and pillows (there will be two sets of towels for bedrooms, more towels available on request) Heating is electric.

Seating for 10. There is a separate dining room with patio doors which open to the side garden.
Entertainment:
Terrestrial TV, DVD, Radio, CD System, Board Games. There is a box of toys for small children, and several board games for those rainy days.

Smoking is not allowed within the house. There is a bedroom downstairs to suit anyone less able to climb stairs.
Local activities in and around Vannes, Brittany
Because the Golfe du Morbihan is a Gulf it has its own micro climate and normally temperatures are much higher than you'd expect. Windsurfing is huge in this area, with regattas held throughout the summer period. There is a great golf course further down the Presqu'ile (Peninsula) and then you are right in the Atlantic.
There are markets held in Sarzeau and Vannes, so that means 3 per week! Vannes has great shopping for souvenirs, food and wine. St Armel has a bakery/Cafe, a bar and a creperie. It has its own small market on a Friday with local produce. The bakery makes its own special bread called "Gothial" (prononced goshtial), once you have tried it with breton butter, you'll be taking some home with you. The nearby village of St Colombier has a creperie, a gourment restaurant and a bar as well as a huge tourist office.
Don't miss the mobile Pizza van on Fridays in St Armel (it serves different villages all year round - leaflet available in the house). Pizzas are excellent and good value for money
Great day trips out to Ile aux moines, where you can get round the island on bicycle. Sarzeau - 4 km Vannes - 10kms.
Head for Vannes and then take direction to Sarzeau. Your best bet is take turn of for St. Armel and drive straight through. Approx 1km on the left you will find the house at a crossroads.

Rental Notes: Rental prices are per week in GBP and include electricity, water, bed linen and towels (please bring your own towels for the pool or beach).
Patrons are reminded that swimming pools are dangerous for small children and care should be taken to ensure that children in your party do not go to the pool unaccompanied by an adult. (Pool is fenced).
Bookings will usually commence on a Saturday but please inquire for alternative arrangements especially in the off peak season. Departing guests should leave by 10am and new guests should arrive after 4pm. Off season breaks are flexible for both changeover day and length of stay.
