The Mill at Moulin Drap is a newly renovated stone watermill featuring the original millstone in the lounge area. It is in a beautiful, private setting beside the river and very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern conveniences. It would suit a family of four or two couples.
There are two properties on the site but they are approx 200 metres apart so each retains wonderful privacy.
The Mill is a two bedroom Gite that sleeps four people. The downstairs is a large open plan area comprising a kitchen/diner and lounge. There is also a shower room and WC. The lounge area is spacious and comfortable. Equipped with a stereo and a selection of CD's it also has an MP3 player port so you can plug in your own music (ipod etc). There is a satelite TV that plays most UK freeview channels. The lounge also has a wood burning stove and the original mill stone, with stairs leading up to the first floor.
The first floor has two bedrooms and a WC. Bedroom one has a queen size (200x160cm) bed and bedroom two has two singles. The Mill is adjacent to the river with access to the island created by the millstream. There are french doors from the lounge to the outside with a very private patio area that overlooks the river and old paddock. There is a gas BBQ, parasol, table and chairs for al fresco dining.
The Mill and the other property, the Miller's House, are ideal if you want to share your holiday with family and friends - take the two houses together to provide accommodation for up to 12 people in uncrowded, private and spacious surroundings.

Cooker, Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Iron. The newly fitted kitchen has all the necessary equipment needed.
General:
Real Fire, Central Heating, House Linen, Towels Provided. Electric heating and wood burning stove for out of season heating.
Dining:
Seating for 4. There is seating for 4 inside but more usually, meals are taken al fresco on the very private terrace behind the Mill overlooking the river.
Entertainment:
Satellite TV, Video, Radio, CD System, Board Games, Tennis Court. There is a tennis court to hire in the village, a 5 minute drive away. There are two local restaurants in Prissac. Leon's is a delightful modern French restaurant, open Fridays and Saturdays.
Outside:
Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. The grounds extend beyond the mill into a very private area beside the river and paddock. The island created by the millstream is a lovely shady place to sit and read or watch the kingfishers.
Suitability:
Children Welcome, Not Suitable For Wheelchairs, Suitable For Elderly, Sorry - No Smokers.
Due to the close proximity of the river and mill stream the property is not really suitable for toddlers.
Local activities in and around Argenton sur Creuse, Limousin/Auvergne
The mill is set in the Brenne National Park, with hundreds of lakes for fishing, swimming, watersports, cycling, horseriding and walking. The Creuse valley is delightful with many local attractions. There are Chateaux and museums to visit and the Loire valley and Futuroscope are only 1.5 hours away.
The Village (Prissac) has a wonderful Boulangerie, a small Boucherie, a Pharmacy, 2 restaurants, cafe/bar and a post office. The nearest supermarket is 10 minutes away in the beautiful medieval town of St Benoit du Sault. Argenton sur Creuse is a 20 minute drive and boasts a fabulous Saturday covered market, numerous restaurants, bars and shops. Also within a 20 minute drive is Le Blanc which is a bustling market town adjacent to the Creuse river where you can hire canoes and catch sight of the lovely rural countryside and if you're lucky, one or two playful kingfishers.
The mill is 20 minutes off the A20 motorway roughly halfway between Chateauroux and Limoges.
