Attractive, restored self contained 2-bedroom cottage with all conveniences plus swimming pool, overlooking mountain views and valley. One hour from Almeria airport, 2 hours from Granada, 3 hours from Malaga. A tranquil, quiet location in peaceful village by a river, one hour from beaches and port.
This cottage is much loved by nature lovers, walkers, artists, birdwatchers, photographers and all those who love nature and tranquility, while being within easy access of all amenties, beaches, watersports and horseriding.
This is the perfect place to rest and relax away from the hustle bustle of traffic and pressures of any kind. It is a photographers and artistsīparadise. Couples love the privacy and peace, and families appreciate the relaxation while the children can let off steam in the swimming pool at the bottom of the small garden. Sunbathe by the pool or in the patio area outside the cottage, among lemon, pomegranate, lemon trees and grapevines. The garden area is small but attractive, and enclosed.
The surrounding area of the Alpujarra mountain range is the habitat of wild goats, wild pigs, lynx, protected species of eagle and giant owls, to mention but a few. You will wake to the sound of birdsong and the whisper of the river down below. It is a truly beautiful spot.
There are watersports available at the port of Almerimar one hour away, as well as golf, sailing and horsriding on the beach or in the nature reserve by the sea. Mini Hollywood is 1.1/2 hours away, where many famous western were filmed and where there is a zoo and a daily "shootout" in a recreated western town, complete with sheriff. The great city of Granada is 2 hours by car o ver the magnificent mountain pass of the Sierra Nevada.
The almost virgin beaches of the beach nature reserve of Cabo de Gata are on the other side of Almeria airport, sparsely populated by tiny villages, some only accessible by foot or by boat.

Seating for 6. There is a kitchen table seating six. Upstairs in the dining part of the living room there is another table, seating 4 to 6. Outside inthe patio is a summer table with sunshade seating 6.
Entertainment:
Terrestrial TV, Video, DVD, Radio, CD System, Board Games. Children also love to play in the river pool in summer, (where the village children swim) as a change from the private swimming pool.
Outside:
Private Pool, Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Garden Furniture. The small patio terrace has sunbeds, table and chairs, lemon, 2 palms, almond and pomegranate trees. The patio leads down steps to swimming pool.

Children love the freedom of the landscape. The elderly love the peace, but the streets are steep!
There is wheelchair access to the house, but again, the streets are steep! Dogs are very welcome.

Horseriding in port of Almerimar. Trailriding in the mountains nearby. Water sports in port of Almerimar. Mini Hollywood at Taberna one and a half hours. Visit to the Alhambra Palace in Granada a must, also to the old Moorish quarter there, the Albaicin. Walking trails. Bird watching. Swimming. Multiple (6 people) cycling in the port of Almerimar. Exploring the White Villages of the Alpujarra mountains. Natural springs at Alhama de Almeria and in Lanjaron. Picasso Museum in Malaga. Alcazaba in city of Almeria (old Moorish castle). Ferries to Morocco from port of Almeria. 5 hours. Cycles available for rent in port.
From Almeria airport, head for Malaga/Motril, turn off to Berja, follow road towards Alcolea. Turn at roundabout before Alcolea, towards Cherin, then off left to Lucainena. Darrical is next.

Rental Notes: Change-over dates are flexible, depending on other bookings. There is no maid service. Cleaning stuff provided. All bed linen and towels are provided. There is a gardener. All gas and electricity is included.
There is a good supermarket half an hour away. Cheese and honey are made in the village. Fish van and baker come three times a week.
