Originally used as a sail loft and for mending the fishing nets, Myrtle Cottage is situated in the heart of Mevagissey, just a stone's throw from the harbour. Tucked away in a pretty cobbled courtyard, Myrtle has been beautifully transformed into a home-from-home holiday cottage.
On the South-West Coastal path, Mevagissey is surrounded by stunning scenery and fantastic beaches and is ideally located for the world-famous Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, and much more!
"Upside-down" over 3 levels, and comfortably sleeping 6 people, Myrtle comprises a 6ft super-king sized bedroom with ensuite shower room/toilet, an adult-sized bunk bedroom, a further king-sized bedroom, and a family bathroom with 1.2m shower cubicle and Victorian-style roll-top bath. The fabulously equipped kithchen/dining room and the sitting room are on the top floor to take advantage of the roof-top views of the harbour, the sea and the village itself. There is an open fire, and a starter pack of coal and logs is provided. A small decked terrace garden leads from the sitting room, complete with garden furniture and a BBQ. The furniture, fixtures and fittings are of an exceptionally high quality.
All mod-cons are provided - LCD TV, DVD player, music centre,microwave, washing/drying machine, fridge/freezer, dishwasher etc. High quality bedlinen and towels (including beach towels) are provided. A selection of DVDs, CDs, games and books are available.
Basic refreshments await you on arrival, and there's a selection of leaflets with details of local attractions.
Feel like relaxing? Stroll around the harbour with a Cornish ice-cream, amble through the village with its narrow cobbled streets, visit the various art galleries and gift shops, sit on one of the many fabulous beaches, or just rest on the terrace being serenaded by the seagulls!
Feel like being more adventurous? Walk up the cliffs and take in the stunning scenery - stop at one of the many old pubs on the way back for refreshments. Many of them used to be the haunts of old smugglers. Rent a speedboat or join in a shark-fishing trip from the harbour. Hire a bicycle in nearby Pentewan, go horse-riding on the beach, or play golf. Take the Meva-Fowey ferry...a great way to see the rugged Cornish coastline.

Terrace, BBQ, Garden Furniture. The decked terrace garden is off the sitting room on the top floor. There is wooden garden furniture and a BBQ. Parking is available in nearby car park or on the harbour - just a short stroll away.

Local activities in and around Mevagissey, South West
Mevagissey is one of the few working fishing villages left on the Cornish Riviera. You can still see the fishermen mending their nets on the harbour front. There is a magical atmosphere around the village, as you stroll around the network of old cobbled streets and fishermens cottages.
The world-famous Eden Project is only 6 miles away, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are on the outskirts of the village.
Fishing by boat or off the harbour wall.
Cliff-walking, and rock-pooling on the stunning beaches close by.
Horse-riding, tennis and golf nearby.
The historic tall ships town of Charlestown very close. The cathedral city of Truro is only a 20 minute drive away.
The famous surfing beaches on the North coast, near Newquay, are a 40 minute drive away.
