Allium Villa is a spacious, well designed, air-conditioned, 3 bed villa with 3 bath/shower rooms, one of which is en-suite. It is a perfect choice for families or couples wanting to holiday together in one villa. Situated just above the traditional village of Aspro, the villa stands in a large plot and has far reaching views over Almirida Bay. The seaside resort of Almirida is within easy reach. The Apokoronas region to the east of Chania is where most of our holiday villas are situated, close to the sandy beaches at Almirida, Kalives and Georgioupolis.

The ground floor consists of an open plan lounge and dining area with a fully fitted kitchen, one of the twin bedrooms and a shower room. A large arch provides partial separation of the kitchen/diner from the comfortably furnished lounge. In the kitchen you will find a dishwasher, built in stainless steel oven and 4 ring hob, microwave, large fridge/freezer, washing machine, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, iron and ironing board and a dining table to seat 6. The lounge has been furnished with two sofabeds, occasional tables, TV (not Sky), DVD and a full music system, pictures on the walls and a few well chosen objects give the room a homely feel. French style doors open up directly to one of the ground floor terraces and onwards to the lovely garden and the 40m2 pool.
The twin bedroom on the ground floor has its own terrace which leads directly into the garden and to the pool terraces. The master (en-suite), double bedroom together with the other twin bedroom and family bathroom are on the first floor. Both bedrooms have French style doors opening up to a spacious private balcony with wonderful views of the mountains and sea, right down over the bay that makes up Almirida and Kalives. If you tire of lounging around the pool, this is a perfect spot for leisurely soaking up the sun or for sipping an early evening drink as you watch the sun setting over the Akrotiri peninsula. All the bedrooms are furnished with ample hanging and drawer storage space. Hairdryers are provided. Even though the villa is air-conditioned, ceiling fans have also been installed in all rooms.
Outside are the delightful gardens, a BBQ, plenty of garden furniture for relaxation and al fresco eating (the outdoor dining table will seat 8) as well as the private pool. The pool and terraces have uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside.
The villa is centrally heated making it a good choice for early or late season holidays when the evenings can be chilly and some heating required.

Local activities in and around Almirida, Crete
The White Mountains dominate the area and provide a dramatic backdrop to the sandy beaches at Almirida, Kalives and Georgeoupolis. The Apokoronas area is also well known for its traditional inland villages such as Vamos, Kefalas, Plaka and Kokkino Chorio. In the last few years visitors from Northern Europe have become so enchanted with Apokoronas that many have bought homes here which has brought new life and tourist facilities to the area.
The large bay that makes up the seaside resorts of Almirida and Kalives has many separate, safe, sandy beaches, usually with full facilities. Almirida, once a fishing village is now a thriving seaside resort with a windsurfing school and tavernas and bars lining the sea front. There are a couple of mini-markets, a bakery, patisserie, a wine shop and a newsagents. Mountain bikes can be hired and there is also a small taxi rank. There is a limited bus service to Kalives and Chania.
Kalives is a working village as well as being a tourist destination so in addition to the beaches, tavernas, bars and tourist shops you will find many local shops as well as a fairly big supermarket. Banking, post office and petrol station facilities are available in Kalives. There is a bus service to Chania.
The cosmopolitan city of Chania has been voted the most beautiful on Crete and rightly so, with the White Mountains as a backdrop, its Venetian harbour, museums, fascinating indoor market and an old quarter of narrow streets packed with interesting shops, Chania offers something for most visitors.
It is a vibrant place steeped in Byzantine, Venetian and Turkish history. The harbour area is a great place to sit and watch the world go by at one of the harbour front tavernas or you may like to try the park on Tzanakaki Street where there is a lovely cafe tucked away amongst the trees, popular with the locals.
Chania is easily accessible either by bus, taxi or car.

We ask for a low deposit of 10% with the balance due 6 weeks prior to the start of the rental.
Prices are for the villa for up to 6 persons + a cot. There are discounts of 15% for a single couple and 10% for parties of 3 wishing to book this villa except for any July and August dates.
The normal change-over day is Tuesday to fit in with charter flights from the UK to Chania airport (30 minutes drive). Flights to Heraklion (1 1/2 hours drive) are available most days of the week either on a charter flight or scheduled with BA/ Easyjet who fly from Gatwick and Manchester and with Jet 2 who fly from Leeds/Bradford airport. Whilst we have to keep to Tuesday for changeovers in July and August we are flexible about the change-over day at other times. Please ask and we will do our best to accommodate you if we can.
