There are more than 10 golf courses within a 30 minute drive of the house, with another 13 at the planning stage or under construction in the surrounding area. As everyone knows the Mar Menor is a paradise for sunbathing and water sports to be enjoyed all year round.

There is a huge choice of activities within walking distance including golf, water sports, or hire a bike and enjoy cycling trips along the promenade. There are also the long sandy beaches, bars, restaurants and shops to enjoy. Excellent local markets on Tuesday and Saturday. Plenty of children's play areas near the beach.
Further afield is an Aqua Park at Elche and Animal Park in Torrevieja. Enjoy the baroque architecture of Murcia, visit Cartagena, a thriving harbour since Roman times. Explore the mountains and visit the hot swimming pool and health treatment rooms at Fortuna.
Golf Roda has use of the adjacent 18 hole championship golf course. There are 9 additional golf courses within 30 minutes drive, including the famous La Manga courses.
Travel Nearest airport Murcia - five minute drive to the holiday home. Alicante is one hour drive. Car hire is desirable - if you choose to explore the area. Car hire can be arranged locally or we can arrange this for you.
Distances Los Alcazares is within walking distance or a couple of minutes by car, as is the beautiful Mar Menor blue flag beaches. Within 20 minutes you can reach the La Manga strip, with it's beaches, harbours and restaurants. Cartagena, an historic town, is also 20 mins drive away from the property. Murcia which has beautiful architecture, shops including two large shopping malls and IKEA and numerous restaurants is about a thirty minute drive.
