Approved by Andalucian Tourist Board, Finca Fernandez can accommodate parties from two to thirteen, romantic villa for two persons or large groups. Three terraces, jacuzzi, free satellite TV, plus internet access, Playstation, DVD, floodlit heated pool, mature gardens. private patios and BBQ area.
Minimum booking in high season - two villas. Villas can be booked singly other times.
Close to the beaches - 15 mins drive.
Our properties are ideally based for the golfer - with the pretty parkland Lauro golf course next door to us and the more challenging Alhaurin Golf designed by Seve Ballesteros only 8 mins away. There are 60 courses within easy driving distance and plenty to do for the non golfer.
Our son in law (Adventure Consultants) can make day trips for you to Ronda, Seville, Gibraltar, Sierra Nevadas, the Alpurras, Chorro Lakes - (see where Von Ryan's Express was filmed) and the wild flamingos or go to Africa for the day and buy something from the markets in Morocco.
Casa Palma has two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, dining room and lounge and its’ own private patio with sun shade, table and chairs. The lounge has a wood burning stove and a good selection of books, satellite Sky TV, internet broadband access and DVD player. We have furnished the house in a simple but attractive Andalucian style. The property is on one level with a gated, stepped entrance. It is safe for children or pets, because they will be unable to leave the confines of the house and patio and stray to the poolside unnoticed. The main bedroom has a double bed and there are fitted wardrobes in both bedrooms. There are ceiling fans in every room and mosquito screens on the windows.
Casa Rosa has three bedrooms and is also laid out on one storey, although there is a step inside the house leading to the sleeping area, which would make the house difficult for a disabled person. There are two shower bathrooms in this property. There is a private patio, table, chairs and large sun awning.
All bed linen and towels are provided, although we ask you to bring your own beach towels. We provide our guests with a small welcome pack on arrival, with any seasonal produce from the finca if available - avocados, plums, mandrarins, tomatoes, lemons, oranges, kumquats, satsumas, grapes, custard apples.
Last year, we added a Jacuzzi ( open 2 nights per week, no extra charge ) and opened our mandarin grove, other further grounds with two fish ponds and a fountain, to our guests which we hope you will also enjoy. ! New for this year, pool heating has been installed taking the temp. to 27 degrees if required. There is a small surcharge for this addition - optional.

Accomodation on Villa Palma is on one level but there are three entrance steps. Villa Rosa has one entrance step and a further step to the bedrooms inside. Outside there are steps to the sun terraces.

Finca Fernandez is located on the edge of a small rural Andalucian village, La Alqueria, which is halfway between Alhaurin de la Torre and Alhaurin el Grande, approximately 20mins from the nearest beaches and Malaga International Airport, 45 mins from Marbella and Puerto Banus, 1½ hrs. from Granada and Gibraltar.
The villas are situated between the mountains and the sea, in a beautiful fertile valley , overlooking the mountains of the Sierras de Malaga and the Guadalhorce river Valley. It is an extremely pretty area with fertile orchards, olive plantations, orange and lemon groves and is known as the gardens of the Costa del Sol. Our village, La Alqueria, which is about 8 mins walk away, boasts no less than three bar/restaurants and even hosts its own little feria in late summer.
We are 5 mins by car from both Alhaurins where you will find plenty of bars, nightlife, discos, shops, supermarkets, restaurants, sports complex, indoor swimming pool and so on.
Locally, there is walking, cycling ( we can hire mountain bikes ) riding, bird watching etc., and 20 mins away, two aqua parks and all the fun of the coast including jet skis, banana boats, water skiing etc., A car is essential when booking to stay at Finca Fernandez because of our rural location.
Chorro Lakes - No need to visit the beaches when there are the beautiful lakes at Chorro. Stop of at the dam and marvel at the railway where Von Ryan’s Express was filmed. Caves at Nerja - spectacular illuminated cave system. Mijas - Ride a donkey through the cobbled streets of the charming nearby village. Puerto Banus and Marbella - mix with the rich and go star spotting—watch out for Antonio. Banderas or you may see him in his home town Malaga! Selwo Safari Park - near Estepona. Botanical Parks at Malaga and Alhaurin de la Torre. Hot springs - at Alhama de Granada, massage, thermal springs.
When leaving Malaga Airport head towards Torremolinos, take the first turn to the right to Coin. Follow this road until 5kms past Alhaurin de la Torre.

The houses can be rented singly out of high season from 250 pounds and must be booked jointly in high season July and August.
Saturday is the normal change over day, with 10:00 departure and 2:30 arrival. Bed linen and towels will be changed after one week. Beach towels are not provided.
A surcharge of £38 per week to assist with extra running costs is payable for those requiring pool heating with balance payment.
