For real peace and quiet we are again offering our very popular 'no children' weeks on the 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th of June, 4th of July, 29th of August and 5th of September 2009 from £275 pw.
Le Poirier nestles in solitude behind our Manor house in the hamlet of Kerdavid, 1km from the town of Plumeliau which offers most amenities icluding supermarket, boulangeries - and beautician (take note ladies!).

Le Poirier is a pretty old stone cottage offering open plan living/dining/kitchen area with inglenook, woodburner and dvd/video. The shower room is downstairs. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, one double, one twin, stairgate and smoke alarm.
All bedlinen is provided and beds are made for your arrival. We also supply cots, highchairs and baby baths free of charge. Babysitting is also offered at a reasonable rate.
Le Poirier has a fenced garden (note: no back garden) with sand pit and patio area to the front with garden furniture and stone BBQ. Beyond the small orchard there are open fields while the fenced, heated pool is a short walk away.

Cooker, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Washing Machine, Iron. Washing machines (free), tumble dryer (coin operated)and freezer for the use of all guests are in a separate laundry room.

Real Fire, House Linen. A 'Pack & Go' cleaning service is available
Dining:
Seating for 4. Dining area is open plan. Also offered a separate dining room (6x12m) with magnificent beamed ceiling for family groups: chestnut tressle table seats 16, coffee machine, dishes & washing up facilities
Entertainment:
DVD, Board Games, Table Tennis. There is a games room for the use of all children (and adults!) with lego, barbies, some dressing up clothes, table tennis.
Outside:
Communal Pool, Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. The fenced heated pool is 500 metres from the cottage and surrounded by shrubs and flowers.

Children Welcome, Not Suitable For Wheelchairs, Sorry - No Pets Allowed, Sorry - No Smokers.
We have 2 goats, some chickens and 3 small well behaved dogs who have their own enclosure. Children are welcome to help feed the animals while dog walking is enjoyed by both parents & children alike!
Local activities in and around Plumeliau, Brittany
Kerdavid lies on the edge of the lovely Blavet Valley and near the pretty village of St Nicolas des Eaux where the Nantes/Brest canal flows by a beautifully kept tow path and visitors can enjoy walking, cycling and canoeing.
On the outskirts of Plumeliau there is Go-Karting while at Camors (about 20 mins away) there is an Adventure Park (a type of army assult course, climbing ropes and swinging through trees etc!)
There is a 9 hole golf course just ten minutes away at Rimaison. The course is beautifully kept and set amongst the hills with stunning views over the Blavet valley. Par 35. Length 2825. Facilities incluse putting green, covered practice ground, coaching, equipment hire, trolley hire, pro shop, clubhouse and bar. Green fees: weekdays 26 euros, weekends 29 euros.
The chateau town of Pontivy lies 15 mins north and the historic towns of Vannes, Auray and Josselin are all within easy reach. The white sandy beaches of the Morbihan coast lie about 40 mins south with the facinating ancient 'standing stones of Carnac' just a few mins from Carnac plage.
In the centre of Plumeliau is a church with a one way system round it. Flower shop on corner, go down that side of church, along the back & take road C8. Straight on for 1km, Kerdavid is on the right.
