For real peace and quiet we are again offering our very popular 'no children' weeks on the 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th of June, 4th of July, 29th of August and the 5th of September 2009 from £275 per week.
Le Chataignier (on left of 3 adjoining gites) is situated in the hamlet of Kerdavid, 1km from the town of Plumeliau which offers most amenities including supermarket, boulangeries - and beautician (take note ladies!).

Cottage on the left
Downstairs comprises fitted corner kitchen, living area, inglenook and woodburner, DVD/video player and stair case to first floor. Stair gate and smoke alarm at top of stairs, two bedrooms (one double, one twin) and shower room. All bed linen is included and beds are made for your arrival. Babysitting is also offered at a resonable rate.
The gite is surrounded by open fields with a large lawned area behind bordered by mature trees and shrubs plus a further play area with swings, basket ball net and covered sand pit. There is a private patio with stone BBQ, garden furniture and surrounded by trellis and flowers to ensure privacy while the fenced and heated pool is a short walk across the lawn.

Cooker, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Washing Machine, Iron. Washing machines (free), tumble dryer (coin operated) and freezer are in a separate communal laundry room for the use of all guests.

Real Fire, House Linen. Bed linen is provided and beds will be made for your arrival. A 'Pack & Go' cleaning service is available.
Dining:
Seating for 4. Open plan dining area. Also offered: separate dining room (6x12m) with magnificent beamed ceiling for family groups. Chestnut tressle table seats 16, coffee machine, dishes & washing up facilities.
Entertainment:
DVD, Board Games, Table Tennis. Games room available with table tennis, lego, barbie, dressing up clothes.
Outside:
Communal Pool, Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. The gite has a private patio, garden furniture and stone BBQ surrounded by trellis and mature shrubs. The fenced heated, pool is a short walk across the lawn.

Children Welcome, Not Suitable For Wheelchairs, Sorry - No Pets Allowed, Sorry - No Smokers.
We have 2 goats, some chickens and 3 very well behaved small dogs who have their own enclosure. Children are welcome to help feed the animals while dog walking is enjoyed by both parents & children!
Local activities in and around Plumeliau, Brittany
Kerdavid lies on the edge of the lovely Blavet valley and near the pretty village of St Nicolas des Eaux where the Nantes-Brest canal flows by a beautifully kept tow path where visitors can enjoy walking,cycling and canoeing.
On the outskirts of Plumeliau itself there is Go-karting while at Camors ( 20 mins away) there is an Adventure Park (a type of army assult course where you can swing through trees and climb ropes etc!).
There is a 9 hole golf course just ten minutes away at Rimaison, the course is beautifully kept and set amongst hills with stunning views over the Blavet valley.Par 35. Length 2825. Facilities include: putting green, covered practice ground, coaching, equipment hire, pro shop, clubhouse and bar. Green fees: weekdays 26 euros, weekend:29 euros.
The chateau town of Pontivy lies 15 mins to the north while the historic towns of Vannes, Auray and Josselin and the white sandy beaches of the Morbihan coast are all within easy reach (coast 40 mins).
In centre of Plumeliau is a church with a one way system round it. Flower shop on corner, go down that side of church, along the back & take road C8. Go straight on for 1km. Kerdavid is on the right.
