Within an hour of both Bordeaux & Bergerac airports, in the Bordeaux wine region and only minutes from the Dordogne and Lot et Garonne. In a fabulous location, a few minutes level walk to the historic centre of the "bastide" town of Monsegur, with it's bars, restaurants and shops.
La Maison Pierre is the perfect holiday home; cool in summer, yet warm in winter, with a wood-burning stove and central heating. It is a house ideal for family holidays, with children 5 years old and over.
Light and airy, the property is built using mellow local stone and finished and equipped to the highest specification. The house has 4 double bedrooms sleeping 8 people, 2 bathrooms (one ensuite) each with bath and separate shower; plus cloakroom with WC and wash basin.
The spacious, bright lounge has two sets of French doors leading to the terraces and gardens. British TV, DVD and VHS. Stereo with CD. ADSL wifi internet access. Free landline phone calls within EU, United States and Canada.

Bedroom 2 has twin beds and enjoys views over the Dropt valley.

Bedroom 4 has a double bed with french doors to the terrace.
The large family bathroom lies between bedrooms 2 and 3 and has both bath and separate shower.
The covered and open terraces are south west facing and have tables and chairs to enjoy al fresco meals.

Bedroom 2 has twin beds. Bedroom 3 is a king size and 4 a double with doors onto the terrace.

2 Bathrooms, 1 Separate WC. Both the en-suite and family bathrooms are very large and have bath with hand shower, separate walk in shower, vanity unit and wc. Both have opening windows.
The cloakroom has wc and hand basin.
Kitchen:
Cooker, Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Iron. The fitted kitchen is fully integrated with high quality equipment and enjoys stunning views over the valley. It has french doors onto the terraces which face south west.

Seating for 8. The dining table is in the centre of the large room, which also has a large comfortable sofa. This room is bright with french doors to the open terrace.

Satellite TV, Video, DVD, Radio, CD System. There are lots of books and magazines, videos and CD's. Bring your own Sky card to obtain more channels.

Local activities in and around Monsegur, Aquitaine/Dordogne
Located in Entre de Mer, in the Bordeaux wine region, Monsegur is perfectly situated for exploring the chateaux of Entre de Mer, Cotes de Duras, St. Emilion and Bergerac, not to mention Sauternes and Graves. The area is literally covered in vines and most chateaux offer free tastings.
Monsegur is famous for its July jazz festival - "24 hours of Swing" and every Tuesday at Les Colonnes in the square is an excellent jazz night. Within a few minutes level walk to the square you will find a choice of bars, restaurants, chocolaterie and various shops and banks. Monsegur also has excellent tennis courts and adjacent open air swimming pool. The beaches of the Atlantic coast are within 1h 30m drive. Bordeaux is only an hour away, with Bergerac, St. Emilion even closer. The medieval hill top chateaux at Duras is only a 5 min drive from the house.
1 min. drive from Monsegur centre, just off the D668 road to Duras.
