Argegno offers the authentic lakeside experience where you will mix freely with the welcoming locals. This pretty fishing village is superbly located to access the lake, villages and villas.
Visit the bakery here freshly made bread, Mario's fruit and veg for the freshest seasonal ingredients or treat yourself to one of Zoe's delicous icecreams. The village is home a fine selection of resturants and bars.

Situated in the sleepy fishing village of Argegno, the apartment is ideally situated to enjoy all the benefits that the lake can offer. From the ferry stop (just 3 mins walk from the apartment) you can reach Bellagio with its pretty piazzas, the city of Como with its 14th gothic cathedral and cafe lined squares or just stroll around the village of Argegno.

Off road parking above the apartment with your own car port. 2 to 3 minutes walk to the lake, ferry port, mini market, bus stop, shops, bars and resturants!Home made icecream, a little bakers serving sweet,pastry treats, delicious restuarants from rustic to fine dining and welcoming bars all await you as well as some of the most panoramic scenery on the whole of the lake.
Cafe Columbo in the village close to the fountain area is a real find with a complientary buffert (6-8pm).
Alternatively, relax on your balcony with a drink & take in the spectacular views of the lake!
Clients comment on the authentic nature of the village where you are more likely to encounter locals than tourists fishing, cycling or enjoying a coffee in one of the local bars. The village acts as a focal point as superb meeting point not only to relax in one of the cafes, bars and piazza but as the perfect meeting to access the whole lake and villas such as Balbianello or Carlotta.
Close by are some superb mountain walks for keen mountaineer enthusiasts in the val d'intelvi valley or alternatively take the green route lakeside walk to visit villas, monasteries and picturesque lakeside scenery par excellence.

Local activities in and around Argegno, Lombardy
Argegno is home to some of the finest resturants and lakeside scenery in the area.
Ideally situated to visit all parts of the lake from the ferry or bus stop (3 mins by foot from the apartment!)or to sit back and enjoy a glass of prosecco from one of the lakeside pavement cafes as you watch the locals and world go by.
Argegno is a village where time seems to have stood still. Visit the local bakers (hidden away in the village) for home make bread and pastries that Jamie Oliver would be proud of!
Try the nociella (nut)flavoured gelato from the local home made icecream parlour or relax with a delcious cafe latte at one of the local pavement cafes as you watch the locals fish, cycle or gesticulate as only the italians do!
The whole theme of this holiday is relaxation but with typical italian charm which means style in abundance-from the hand made ravioli to the gucci loafers there is something here for everyone.
Villa Balbianello can be accessed 15 mins from the apartment (a beautiful villa as featured in the recent James Bond 2006 movie, Casino Royale).
Villa D'este (Cernobbio) where the americans like to holiday is worth a trip and well as Villa Carlotta with it s majestic gardens, all reachable within 20 mins of the apartment.
Milan is just over an hour away by car or take the train. Leonardo Da Vinci's last supper can be viewed here, watch some serie a football or visit the monza, formula one grand prix are all close by.
As Lake Como is so close to the swiss horder, you can reach Switzerland in just half an hour or venture to San Moritz in just 2 hours.
