Located in Faro Park, Playa Blanca, in the south-west of Lanzarote, Casa de Fortuna - House of Good Fortune, is a luxury villa which comprises of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lounge, a fully fitted kitchen/utility, heated private pool and alfresco dining area with BBQ. It also has a high quality 'Z'-bed for when a family or party of five come to stay. It has Satellite TV - Sky Freeview including ITV, video, DVD and Hi-Fi and is furnished to the very highest standard and welcomes young children and babies. It has a large sun terrace with a teak table and chairs overlooking the swimming pool and private walled gardens which have been fully-stocked with beautiful local palm trees, shrubs and flowers.
There is a small parade of shops within easy walking distance of the villa including restaurants, a supermarket, 2 coffee shops, a bar and a hairdresser, etc. There is also a lovely coastal walk just 2 minutes from our villa with magnificent views across to Fuerteventura.
Casa de Fortuna is a new luxury 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa in Faro Park, Playa Blanca in the south-west tip of Lanzarote. It was completed in the Spring of 2004 and is situated very close to the coast. There is a car parking space to the side of the property. It is ideal for families who are looking for a really relaxing holiday and offers the tranquillity that is not readily found in the built-up established tourist resorts such as Puerto del Carmen and Costa Teguise.
Fully furnished and equipped to a very high standard, the interior of the villa offers classic Spanish architecture with its combination of granite and marble tiling throughout, providing stunning results and a cool airy feeling. The villa is fitted with charming shutters with integral mosquito nets that guarantee a peaceful night's sleep! The main bedroom is ensuite with bath and shower and the second bedroom has two single beds. Both bedrooms have spacious built-in wardrobes. The second bathroom has a large, marble tiled walk-in shower. The modern kitchen is fully-equipped with dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven with ceramic hobs, microwave, toaster and kettle, etc. There is also a separate utility room with washing machine, ironing board and airer. The spacious lounge area has two leather settees and hi-fi, Satellite TV, dvd and video.
The heated pool is set in a large sun terrace with four luxurious sunloungers. The outside, shaded dining area has a large teak table overlooking the garden. There is also a teak table overlooking the swimming pool - ideal for relaxing with a lunchtime glass of wine, while keeping a careful eye on the children. There is also a BBQ for your use.
The garden has been fully-stocked with beautiful local palm trees, shrubs and flowers.
There is also a small children's table and chairs. Additional baby/young children's equipment can be hired at a small additional charge.

Bedrooms:
1 Double Bedroom, 1 Twin Bedroom. The main bedroom has a double bed and is en-suite with bath and shower. The second bedroom has two single beds with room for the quality 'Z'-bed. Both bedrooms have spacious built-in wardrobes.
Bathrooms:
1 Bathroom, 1 Shower, 2 Separate WC's. The 2nd bathroom has a marble tiled walk-in shower. There is a safe in the second bathroom which is big enough to store your passports, t/cheques, money, jewellery and any other valuable items.
Kitchen:
Cooker, Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Iron. The modern kitchen is fully-equipped with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven with ceramic hobs, microwave, toaster, kettle, ironing board and iron, etc. Extensive work surfaces and fully fitted.
General:
Maid Service, House Linen, Towels Provided. We have a convector heater and 2 fans which can be moved to whichever room you desire.
Bed linen is changed weekly and towels are changed mid-weekly and weekly. The villa is cleaned each week.
Dining:
Seating for 8. Three eating areas: Large teak dining table in outside covered dining area; patio teak table and four chairs; breakfast bar with three stools.
Entertainment:
Satellite TV, Video, DVD, Radio, CD System, Board Games. We have a selection of toys, games, cards, books, videos and DVD's to suit all ages.
Outside:
Private Pool, Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. The private heated swimming pool, set in a tiled sun terrace, has a solar cover and is serviced twice a week. There is a very well-stocked garden and charming shutters with integral mosquito nets.

Local activities in and around Playa Blanca , Lanzarote
The rugged coastline is only 2 minutes walk from our villa and there is a block-paved path which goes right round the coastline. The nearest beach, Playa Flamingo, is about 2kms away and can be reached either on foot or by car. Playa Blanca's local beach, Playa Dorada, is about 5 minutes drive away and then there are the beautiful Papagayo beaches which are within 15 minutes drive. There is plenty of opportunity for safe swimming and snorkelling. Diving and water sports are also possible.
There is a lovely little parade of shops which is only 2 minutes walk from the villa. There is a small supermarket which will provide you with all the day-to-day essentials, two Italian restaurants, 1 Chinese restaurant, 2 coffee bars and a local bar, etc. The nearest bank is only 5 minutes drive in Playa Blanca. Just down the road there is the Rubicon Palace Hotel which welcomes non-resident guests and there the food is excellent and the entertainment afterwards is high quality and free.
Playa Blanca with its fine restaurants and shops is only 5 minutes drive away from our villa and Puerto del Carmen, which has a busy nightlife, if you wish, is only about 15 minutes drive away. The new Marina Rubicon is bursting with lovely restaurants and shops and there are some fine boats to admire whilst you sit and relax at the waters edge. Timanfaya National Park is also about 30 minutes by car and to travel from the south of the island to the north would probably only take you about 90 minutes.
There are 2 brand new quality golf courses going to be built only a few minutes away from Faro Park. In the meantime, the nearest golf courses are at Tias and Costa Teguise.

Rental Notes: The villa is available for any duration and we are flexible on changeover day. However, normal changeover day is Thursday because the majority of flights from the UK are on that day.
Prices are based on 2 people sharing with a supplement of £50.00 per extra person per week up to a maximum of 5 people. The fifth person is only charged an additional £30.00 for use of a high quality 'Z'-bed.
Please note that there is no charge for children under the age of 5.
The villa is available from 2pm and has to be vacated by 10am unless there are no guests booked to arrive on the same day as your departure.
