This well equipped cottage has 3 bedrooms, separate sitting and dining rooms and an enclosed garden. Lyndhurst is known as the 'Capital'of the New Forest. In the open forest you can walk or cycle, go horse riding or drive along the forest roads and look at the ponies, cattle and donkeys by the roadside. Lyndhurst High Street, with a wide choice of shops, pubs and restaurants is 5 minutes walk away.

Bay Tree Cottage has stripped pine floors throughout. On the ground floor is a sitting room with comfortable furniture and TV/DVD player. There is a separate dining room with pine table and chairs and a book case with lots of books, and games in the cupboard. Downstairs toilet and cloakroom. The well-equipped kitchen has a Smeg gas/electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, large fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble drier.
If you want to bring your laptop with you, wireless internet access has now been installed.
Upstairs are 3 bedrooms: a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom with a view of the garden and the spire of Lyndhurst church. All bedrooms are attractively furnished with the beds made-up and towels provided. The bathroom has a white suite with a bath and shower over it. The cottage has full central heating.
There is space for one large car on the forecourt of the cottage and additional parking space nearby. The garden is fully enclosed with a lockable gate, patio with table and chairs and steps down to the lawn. There is a shed within the garden which is ideal for bicycles.

Local activities in and around Lyndhurst - New Forest, South
The landscape in the New Forest has changed little since William the Conqueror gave it his special protection 900 years ago.
Ponies and cattle graze freely by the roadside and deep in the woodland you may come across deer. There is something for everyone in the New Forest, for the walkers, cyclists, horse riders or those who want to drive through beautiful countryside. Or leave the car behind and travel on the New Forest Bus or go on a horse-drawn wagon ride.
Visit historic Beaulieu, home of the National Motor Museum, or walk along the village street with its charming shops and you might encounter a pony or donkey walking along too. Buckler's Hard village beside the Beaulieu River is worth a visit.
Lymington, a charming market town is only 20 minutes drive. The market is always worth a visit on Saturdays. Or walk down the cobbles to the quay and take a look at the boats. From Lymington you can take the short ferry trip over to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. Yarmouth, with its harbour and numerous pubs and restaurants is a lovely place to visit. If you like walking, you can walk along the old railway track to Freshwater Bay. Or take your bike on the ferry and cycle along the track, which is now a path for both walkers and cyclists.
Southampton, with cinemas, theatre and a bowling alley is less than 30 minutes away. Every September, Southampton is home to the International Boat Show. Just over 30 minutes drive away are the historic cities of Winchester and Salisbury. Also just over 30 minutes drive away is Bournemouth with its beaches and theatres and there are other beaches less than half an hour's drive away.
From Junction 3 of the M27, take the M271 and then follow signs to Lyndhurst on the A35. From Junction 1 of M27 take A337 signed to Lyndhurst. By Train go to Brockenhurst station then taxi or bus.
