The Flower House at Goongillings Farm - A Converted Flower house
Cottage with 2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4, Garden
This is a single storey stone building with a natural slate roof which in the past was used for bunching and packing daffodils for market on our Organic farm . There are three other cottages at the farm as well as a Gypsy Caravan. The Flower House is one of the smaller cottages and is very popular with small families and couples

The centrepiece of the cottage is a pleasant living/dining room (17' x 13'). This has a high beamed ceiling and a large and impressive woodstove. It has a comfortable sofa and chairs and a dining table for 4 / 5. There is a teletext TV and a hi-fi with CD. A feature is a beautiful antique carved oak chest which has always lived in the building, and which has been allowed to remain! A large french window opens onto a patio area in the farmyard.
Opening off the living room is a luxury galley kitchen (8' x 7') with handmade fitted pine units, solid beech worktops, a slot-in ceramic top cooker with double oven and grill, dishwasher and microwave. A full range of quality equipment is supplied to cater for at least six.
Tucked away behind the kitchen there is a small bathroom with bath, washbasin and WC, as well as a washer/drier and airing cupboard. Hot water is supplied by Economy 7 electric immersion heater.
Sleeping accommodation is arranged in two bedrooms, one at each end of the cottage. There is also a sleeping gallery ('the bivouac') in the roof beams at one end of the living area - this is only suitable for older children or teenagers and is accessed by a fixed ladder from the main living area. The main bedroom (12' x 10') has a very comfortable double bed, and the smaller bedroom (13' x 8' maximum), which is rather curiously shaped to fit in to the space at the end of the cottage, has a set of bunk beds. Both bedrooms are prettily furnished with a mixture of stripped and painted furniture.
There is electric storage heating throughout as well as the woodstove, which allows the cottage to be very snug at any time of the year.

Local activities in and around Falmouth, South West
The small towns of Falmouth and Helston are about a quarter of an hour away, and Truro, the cathedral city of Cornwall is about 12 miles. The village of Constantine, about 10 minutes walk from the farm, has excellent small shops including butcher, 2 general stores, antique shops, and pub. There are many wonderful walks, beaches, gardens and coastline close at hand. The farm runs down to the beautiful estuary The Helford River famous for its wooded creeks and wildlife. In addition, The Trengilly Wartha Inn, a renowned pub and restaurant featured in both the good food guide and the good pub guide is just down the hill from the farm. This is the secluded and relatively uncrowded area of Cornwall, and Goongillings, tucked down a long narrow lane, provides complete privacy and tranquility in a beautiful location.
