The villa is set in a peaceful residential area that is not over-developed. It is quiet but not far from the local shops and amenities. The villa is 5 minutes drive away from the town of Mijas, or "white village" due to its whitwashed houses, that was founded in the 16th century and is arguably the prettiest mountain village in Andalucia. Mijas is famous for its artisans who, for example, make beautiful ceramics. Yaramar beach is 5 km away, Castillo beach 7km but close by are numerous beach resorts large and small. Golf is a major attraction of this area with the course at Alhaurin 4km away and Mijas Cal Golf 10km.
Families with children, or those who like larger attractions, will enjoy the water parks and nearby Fuengirola has much to offer including the claim to more than 4000 bars!
