La Tassionnière is a beautiful spacious chalet set in large gardens, with ample parking, overlooked by the Rocher d' Escalade (popular with climbers). We are perfectly located just outside the picturesque village of St Jean d’Aulps, which has been unspoiled by commercialism and has retained its charm as a typical Savoyard village. With a transfer time of less than 90 minutes from Geneva airport to St Jean d’Aulps it is also very easy to get to.
Accommodation: In typical alpine style, La Tassonnière is comfortable and inviting, a homely chalet which can easily accommodate up to 15 people. It has a large lounge with leather sofas, real fire and bar and games area, tea and coffee making facilities, kitchen for the summer season, satellite TV, DVD player, XBox and Internet connection. An ideal place to relax and wind down after a day's activities. Alternatively, you can step through the large French doors and enjoy the beautiful views from the balcony.
After an active day in the mountain air what better way to recharge and rejuvenate than in your own private hot tub located to the side of the chalet. Grab yourself a beer, get in the tub and enjoy the views! The hot tub is available to use all year round.
Food Glorious Food: During the winter season, the chalet is offered on a catered basis. Food is important to us and we aim to spoil you during your stay, cooking a variety of traditional British food and introducing some regional French dishes. We offer a hearty breakfast, afternoon tea, and a full 3 course evening meal with apertifs.
Our evening meal is a relaxed informal affair starting with aperitifs and nibbles. Followed by a three course home cooked hearty meal prepared from scratch using wherever possible fresh local ingredients, accompanied with good wine and finished off with coffee and chocolate. One night of the week we have a break and you get to sample one of the local restaurants. We also have a well stocked honesty bar.

Winter: A winter holiday in St Jean d’Aulps gives you the chance to ski and snowboard the largest inter-linked ski area in the world covering 14 resorts, 650kms of piste, 208 lifts, superb snow parks and over 100 mountain restaurants.
The benefit of our location is that, being central to the Portes du Soleil, we can pick and choose the best place to ski on any given day based on the snow or weather conditions, made even more accessible with our free shuttle service.
So in short, La Tassionnère has easy access to a vast skiing area, we are only 5 minutes from the resort of La Grande Terche. A 10 minute drive to Morzine, from where you could access the Pleiney cable car taking you across to Les Gets. The Ardent ski lift is also a 10 minute drive which gives you the easiest access to the purpose built resort of Avoriaz and the quiet open pistes of Champery, Les Crosets and Morgins in Switzerland with its breathtaking views of the Dents du Midi.
Summer Imagine clear mountain air, picturesque villages and spectacular scenery. Add a huge range of activities to choose from and a summer alpine holiday could be just what you need. The mountains are a fabulous playground for everyone to enjoy. Active or gentle, your holiday can include walking, mountain biking, golfing or horse riding, there is something for everyone.
Walking: There are more than 300km of footpaths and well-marked trekking routes in the Portes Du Soleil.
Horse Riding: If you wish to see the mountains on horseback there are stables nearby.
Mountain Biking: With over 500kms of mountain trails to bike on, the area has become well known for its terrain. Many events are hosted here, including the World Cup Downhill in Les Gets and the Avalanche Cup in Morzine. Mountain bikers can use these courses throughout the summer, along with the other courses in the Portes du Soleil. There is also the Free Raid which is available for all to enter in early summer.
Morzine is close to Geneva Airport, the journey from airport to chalet takes around 90 minutes. There is an excellent choice of airlines flying to Geneva.

Rental Notes: Fully Catered: Prices are per person for 7 nights accommodation, breakfast & afternoon tea daily, dinner on 6 nights with unlimited wine and beer, coffee and chocolates, bed linen, bath towels and bath robes. Airport transfer, minibus service to and from the ski lifts.
Group Discounts: For large groups or for booking the whole chalet (Sleeps up to 15) please contact us directly for a discount.
Child Discounts: 50% discount for under 13yrs, if sharing a room with 2 adults. Not to be used in conjunction with any other discounts. Under 3yrs no charge except for a small supplement of 50 euros to cover transport.
Summer: Bed & breakfast or sole occupancy self catered, contact us for prices
Payment: Payment for bookings is taken in Euros by Cheque, PayPal or by bank transfer.
Children: We have available Cots, High Chairs, Baby Baths, Sterilisers, Baby Listening Monitors, etc. We can also arrange home cooked meals suitable for children at an earlier sitting.
