Coutures Ouest consists of two adjacent buildings - a large barn and a little chapel both of which have been totally renovated in the last two years. Next door to a working farm and surrounded by farmland with stunning views, the owners have created lots of areas for guests to relax in the grounds. A small stone ruin is now a tranquil space with BBQ and stone low-level table, ideal for dining and star gazing. There are swings, two hammocks and benches to sit and enjoy the views. Bourg de Visa (5km) has a range of local shops, a bar and a restaurant. Nearest main towns: Moissac and Valence d’Agen - 20 minutes

Barn accommodation: The barn has a large open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room with a beamed ceiling. The original cow byres have been renovated to provide seating and storage areas.
The kitchen has a range cooker, a large fridge/freezer, coffee machine and a central table and chairs. French windows lead onto the huge covered terrace which overlooks the pool and has an oak table with seating for 12 people. The sitting room opens onto the galleried landing, which looks down to the lower seating area and up to the third floor. Along this landing is a bedroom with bunk beds and shower-room with wc and basin.
There are three bedrooms on the upper floor, one double with an en-suite shower-room with wc and basin, one twin bedroom and a second double bedroom. Main bathroom with claw foot bath, separate shower, wc and basin.
Chapel accommodation: The main living/bedroom in the chapel has a fireplace with a wood burning stove, TV/DVD, corner kitchen with fridge, dining area and a double bed. Twin bedroom. Shower-room with wc and basin.
The swimming pool is situated on a spur of land with panoramic views. There are some steep slopes around the pool dropping away from the grassed area

The principal cities are Toulouse and Bordeaux. Between these two are major towns including: Agen: The County town of the Lot-et-Garonne which changed hands 11 times during the hundred years war and is well known for its plums (pruneaux). On the banks of the Garonne river it has a beautiful museum housed in four Renaissance houses. Valence d'Agen: A pretty town with a lovely fountained square. Originally a 1283 bastide it has a good range of shops & restaurants and a nine hole golf course nearby. St. Maurin: A sleepy half timbered village which includes the ruins of a 1097 abbey. It has a small shop and restaurant. Moissac: On the banks of the river Tarn, this bustling town with lively weekend markets, is famous for its Romanesque Abbey and cloisters.
Walibi Aquitaine, located just a few kilometres away from Agen, Walibi Aquitaine nestles in over 30 hecatres of lush greenery, and is watched over by a genuine 18th Century castle. A world filled with pleasure, with its numerous rides, spectacular shows and special events that succeed each other at a relentless pace, where everyone will spend an unforgettable day out where strong emotions, thrills, laughter and enjoyment all intermingle! Situated northwest of Agen on the A62. Open 7 days a week from the middle of June through to the end of August, and at weekends outside this time. Children (3-11 yrs)
Five ropes courses in the trees, starting at the green and blue courses for small children, and progressing in difficulty through white, red and black courses. Harnesses and instruction are included. If you are not interested in climbing, there is also mini-golf to enjoy, a small farm and the snail museum. Take a picnic and make a day of it. Situated at Lacapelle-Biron on the D420, north-west of Fumel. Open every day 0900 to 2000 during July and August, and at weekends at other times.
Rental Notes: Only Saturday to Saturday bookings are accepted during PEAK and HIGH seasons. Customers must ensure that they do not arrive at the property until after 4pm on the day of arrival and they must depart before 10am on the day of departure.
