Gavachon has been delightfully restored and offers guests high quality accommodation. It is stylishly furnished and the care and attention to detail of the owners is apparent everywhere. Therefore children under the age of twelve cannot be accepted. It is set in undulating countryside with views across to the picturesque village of Dunes. There is a large covered dining terrace that overlooks the pool and another dining terrace close to the kitchen—ideal for breakfast in the sunshine. Donzac is 9 Kms. Nearest main town: Valence d’Agen - 15 minutes.

Accommodation: The main hallway has a cloakroom with wc and basin. The elegant sitting room has long French doors windows on two sides, lovely oak beams, a fireplace with a wood burning stove, and an ancient restored evier and a TV/DVD. The dining room has a central fireplace, is well furnished and seats 8 comfortably. It leads through to the large light kitchen/breakfast room that opens onto the end terrace. The main bedrooms is situated at the rear of the hallway and has a queensize bed and an en-suite shower room, with walk-in shower, basin, and wc.
Long windows on two sides make this an extremely attractive light room. The second, large double bedroom looks out across the gardens, through long windows. The main bathroom has a bath, basin and wc. The upper floor of the house provides a completely separate apartment with a seating area with TV, double bedroom with queensize bed, small table and chairs and a shower-room with wc and basin.

The principal cities are Toulouse and Bordeaux. Between these two are major towns including: Valence d'Agen: A pretty town with a lovely fountained square. Originally a 1283 bastide it has a good range of shops & restaurants and a nine hole golf course nearby. Agen: The County town of the Lot-et-Garonne which changed hands 11 times during the hundred years war and is well known for its plums (pruneux). On the banks of the Garonne river it has a beautiful museum housed in four Renaissance houses. Auvillar: A 16th century village situated high on the hill above the Garonne river. It is known for its earthenware pottery and manufacture of goose quills for writing. It has a beautiful XVI circular halle, and a Sunday morning market.
Walibi Aquitaine, located just a few kilometres away from Agen, Walibi Aquitaine nestles in over 30 hecatres of lush greenery, and is watched over by a genuine 18th Century castle. A world filled with pleasure, with its numerous rides, spectacular shows and special events that succeed each other at a relentless pace, where everyone will spend an unforgettable day out where strong emotions, thrills, laughter and enjoyment all intermingle! Situated northwest of Agen on the A62. Open 7 days a week from the middle of June through to the end of August, and at weekends outside this time. Children (3-11 yrs)
Five ropes courses in the trees, starting at the green and blue courses for small children, and progressing in difficulty through white, red and black courses. Harnesses and instruction are included. If you are not interested in climbing, there is also mini-golf to enjoy, a small farm and the snail museum. Take a picnic and make a day of it. Situated at Lacapelle-Biron on the D420, north-west of Fumel. Open every day 0900 to 2000 during July and August, and at weekends at other times.
Rental Notes: Only Saturday to Saturday bookings are accepted during PEAK and HIGH seasons. Customers must ensure that they do not arrive at the property until after 4pm on the day of arrival and they must depart before 10am on the day of departure.
