Friars Cottage is a delightful mid-terrace self-catering cottage in Keswick in the northern Lake District. It is located in a quiet area of the town, but is only 5 minutes level walk from the centre. The cottage has been tastefully refurbished with extensive use of exposed pine, and is equipped to a very high standard to cater for every need. It provides a comfortable base for couples or families of up to four to explore the Northern Lake District. Downstairs the lounge/diner is furnished with a very comfortable leather suite and is equipped with a widescreen LCD TV, DVD/CD player and Freesat satellite TV.
The kitchen is very well equiped with an electric oven/hob, fridge, microwave and a very extensive range of pots, pans and utensils. There is also a separate utility room with dishwasher, freezer, washer/dryer and WC.
Upstairs is the main double bedroom which is furnished in attractive pastel shades, a second twin bedded room and a bathroom equipped with an over-bath shower. All bedrooms have iron bedsteads and quality pine furnishings. The cottage has full gas central heating, hot water supplied by a combi-boiler, and an electric coal effect fire in the lounge. At the back of the cottage is a paved garden area with patio furniture and a barbecue. There is ample on-street parking in a quiet residential area. Prices include all gas and electricity, bed linen and towels.

The walking opportunities are without parallel in England—from gentle strolls to full day fell walks. Our cottage has a selection of maps and walking guides for all abilities. From Keswick it is possible to climb to the top of Skiddaw - England's fourth highest mountain.
Keswick offers plenty of shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. There are also several specialist museums in the town and cruises on Derwentwater sail every day.

Rental Notes: The cottage is available on a Saturday to Saturday basis. Short breaks of 3 nights or more are available between November and March.
Prices are inclusive of all gas, electricity and bed linen. One set of bath/hand towels per room are also included in the price.
A £50 deposit is required for each week or part week booking, with the balance due 6 weeks prior to the start of the holiday.
