There are twice weekly street markets and car parks are close by. This period cottage is in the heart of Bridport which has a rich industrial heritage of net and ropemaking and only 1.5 miles from the beach at West Bay. It is furnished to an attractive and very comfortable standard and is light, bright and full of character. It is ideal to use as a relaxing "hideaway" or a base for a walking or beach holiday as there are many places of interest along the famous "Jurrassic coast" and Chesil Beach. Explore the beautiful dorset countryside and enjoy the good locally produced food.

This compact town cottage comprises: stable door to beamed kitchen/diner with oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/dryer. On the ground floor an attractive wrought iron spiral staircase which is steep and narrow, so not ideal for those with mobility difficulties, opens out onto the first floor Bed/Sitting room. This double aspect, bright sunny room has a sitting area and a double bed, TV/DVD/CD. Off this is a large bathroom with w.c. washbasin, bath with shower over.A range of wardrobe and shelved cupboards and dressing table.
As this cottage is in the middle of town it has NO outside space. However,Bucky Doo Square is a short walk away with its cafe atmosphere. (Small cafes operate here selling many types of coffees and tempting cakes and savories). Surrounding the square there is a:Bakers, Butchers,Wine bar with Wi-Fi,Pub, Fishmongers/Greengrocers, Healthfood shop,Hardware shop and Bookshops. Bicycle hire is also available in South Street, so once you arrive you could have a car free holiday! Long stay car parking is a 5 minute walk away and a long stay ticket can be arranged prior to arrival through the Tourist Information Office. 3-day, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 day tickets can be purchased prior to arrival. £8.40 is the cost of the 3 day (72 hours) ticket. Other prices are avaiable.
