Welcome to our 4 STAR managed appartment located in the picturesque resort of Chinaillon, the highest village in the Grand Bornand ski resort. Cheap flights to Geneva and well priced rents provide for an ideal luxury family holiday, all year round.
The Summer activities include walking, biking and pony trecking through spectacular mountains with amazing views. For the adventurous, there is paragliding and rock climbing; give the kids an unforgetable time white water rafting, together with swimming at the nearby pool, tennis and golf.
In winter Grand Bornand is a fully linked and well established ski complex with over 200km of marked pistes ranging up to 2100 metres, all centred around a genuine Alpine village. The ski lifts are ideally located only 300 metres away, next to the local ski hire shop, where you may leave your equipment in heated lockers overnight and be helped on with your warmed boots the following morning. Then go for a drink or shop in comfort!
The accomodation has been beautifully finished in an Alpine chalet style and has a 4* luxury rating from the tourism office. It is ideally located near the ski lifts and hire shops and has a garage and private parking. The local bars and restaurants are within a 5 minute walk.
From 2 to 9 people can sleep comfortably in the accommodation, comprising of 4 bedrooms, 3 with twin beds and a fourth with 3 beds. There are 2 large wet rooms, 1 bathroom and 3 WCs. Cots can be made available. There is a large open plan sitting/dining/kitchen area, beautifully equipped and furnished. The dining table extends to seat up to 16 people complete with ample crockery, cutlery and glass, and a high chair can be provided.
The fully fitted kitchen has a large oven, electric induction hob, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, good extraction and a microwave.
The lounge is equipped with comfortable sofas and chairs from which to watch the LCD TV which receives satellite broadcasts. A DVD player, and CD system are also provided and a broadband connection will shortly be available. Sliding doors lead out onto the large south facing terrace, equiped with tables, chairs and recliners, from which you can admire the magnificent mountain views, especially in the summer. The garage is immediately below the apartment, and there is also a ski locker.
Linen, towels and soap are provided. There is an ironing board, iron and hairdryer, together with washing and drying machines for your use.

Local activities in and around Le Grand Bornand, Rhone Alps
An article entitled “A Mountain Mecca”, published in the March 2007 issue of “French Property News”, described Le Chinaillon as “One of the most family-friendly ski resorts in the area (the Haute-Savoie), it is popular all the year round with skiing, para pente and snowboarding in the winter giving way to walking and golf, mountain biking, as well as sailing and watersports on Lake Annecy in the summer.”
In the summer you can step out of the apartment onto a huge network of walking paths which can take you far into the mountains, away from civilisation. You can get around on mountain bikes too, which you can rent, on many of the same paths. Swimming is available in the outdoor pool complex in Le Grand Bornand or you could go down to the beach on Lake Annecy and swim in the cleanest lake in Europe. There are several championship standard Golf courses within 2 hours drive as well as a challenging 9 hole course in Grand Bornand. Tuition is available. There are tennis courts nearby and a great range of other activities aimed at children.
Summer is also the time for outdoor festivals from lakeside classical music and fireworks to “Le Bonheur Des Momes” one of the biggest children’s festivals in Europe. There are many activities organised for visitors based around the village. You can sign up for a whole week of various organised activities. In Winter there is magnificent skiing literally on the doostep. The main ski lift is 100 metres from the apartment.
Le Grand Bornand is ideally located whether you travel by car, plane or train.
