There is no though traffic apart from the occasional bike or tractor! It has a kitchen and dining room, living room and a shower room with washbasin and WC on the ground floor. Upstairs two double bedrooms (one with 5 ft. bed) overlook the river and a large bedroom (bunks / single beds) looks out onto the garden at the back. There is a bathroom / WC on this floor.
The cottage is fully furnished and equipped (gas cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine etc). There is a small paved terrace to the front and in the back a large, unfenced garden of grass and woodland. There is garden furniture and a BBQ.

The staircase is steep with narrow treads - perhaps difficult for toddlers or the elderly.
Well behaved dogs are welcome BUT the garden is unfenced.
Local activities in and around Pessac-sur-Dordogne, Aquitaine/Dordogne
Pessac has a good butcher, small supermarket, post office and a restaurant. There is also an English owned campsite with a good restaurant (the chef used to have a restaurant in Southampton) and bar.
Canoes & bikes are available to hire in the village. There is a large leisure lake about 20km north with pedalos, tennis, riding, restaurants and a sandy beach for swimming. It's just over two hours drive to the Atlantic coast for surfing etc.
The beautiful Chateau des Vigiers is 20 km away & has both an 18 and a 9 hole golf course and two restaurants. For the less serious golfer there is a 9 hole "pitch & putt" course about 6km away.
There are lots of activities in the summer - street markets & fairs - firework displays - concerts & "son et lumière" including the amazing reinactment of the last battle of the 100 Years War at Castillon la Bataille.
The nearest large supermarkets are about 12 km away at Ste. Foy la Grande or Castillon la Bataille. Both towns have very good weekly markets and several good and very reasonable restaurants.
Midway between Bergerac and Libourne, just off the D936 - about one hours drive east of Bordeaux.

The cottage is fully furnished and equipped. Sheets and towels are provided, although we do ask people to bring their own swimming towels. Cots and high chairs are also available if required.
