Acera del Darro - Quiet apartment, central location
Apartment with 2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4
Granada city centre two-bedroomed apartment, quiet spot. Easy walking distance to all major attractions, bars, restaurants, venues and public transport.
Holiday Apartment for city breaks in Granada, Spain's most exciting city of Flamenco and Moorish history.
Our apartment is located in the centre of Granada opposite the el Corte Ingles department store on Acera del Darro. You can hardly find a place more central than this yet there is no noise, due to the situation of the apartment on the first floor to the rear of the block, further away from the road.
Every major attraction, every popular restaurant, flamenco club, theatre or music bar is a walk away. Within five minutes walk you can catch a bus to the coast, the airport, the Sierra Nevada ski resort or anywhere in the outlying parts of the city. Plaza Nueva, gateway to the Albaicin (Moorish old town) and the Alhambra Palace and Gardens is only ten minutes walk away.
The apartment consists of two bedrooms, one with king-sized double bed and ensuite shower room, the other twin bedded, a kitchen salon with American bar and separate conservatory dining area, and bathroom. Hot water and central heating are included in the rental. Television is provided in the living area.
The apartment is available for periods of three nights or more, at rental rates equal to those of a room in Hotel Carmen, the city`s most popular four star tourist hotel less than 100 yds along the road.
Rental rates are based on a rate of €390 per week, but can vary more or less depending on the time of the year and the amount of time you are coming to stay. The apartment is not just a place to stay in Granada, it is also a base from which you can explore the region, without needing to hire a car, or indeed a focal point for anyone visiting the whole of Andalucia.

Local activities in and around Granada, Granada/Costa Tropical
Granada is located just at the point where the Sierra Nevada mountains meet the fertile plain of the vega. Behind it are steep mountains and in front there is flat agricultural land.
Its most famous attraction is the Alhambra, considered by some to be one of the wonders of the world. The Alhambra consists of gardens, fortifications and sumptuous palaces. It was the home of the Arabic Sultans who ruled for centuries. As well as lavish interior decoration and architecture, it represents the Koran idea that heaven is a garden with running water. Nowadays it is Spain's most visited monument.
The Albaicín is the old Arabic quarter located on the hill opposite the Alhambra. It is characterised by cobbled streets and Moorish architecture. It still retains a strong Arabic feeling - many squares with terrazas and places to laze about and have a bite to eat. The Albaicín is an oil painter's paradise and at every turn there is an attractive view, often involving glimpses of the Alhambra.
As the local potters inscribe: "Give him alms woman because there is nothing as bad as being blind in Granada". Go to Mirador de San Nicolas and you will see what they mean.
Other attractions in Granada are the caves of Sacromonte where gypsies have always congregated to give stunning flamenco performances, the Cathedral with the Capilla Real (Royal Chapel) where Ferdinand and Isabella are entombed, and the Cartuja, the Monastery which houses dozens of paintings and other works of Gothic art.
Outside Granada there are delightful villages set into mainland Spain´s highest mountains, the Sierra Nevada. Elsewhere you can go visit Fuente Vaqueros, the birthplace of Garcia Lorca, or travel to Sevilla, Malaga or Cordoba for the day, using the city´s excellent train and bus connections.
The Valley of Lecrin is a charming place to visit, a hilly rural area you can travel to on frequent buses which leave from the city centre, only 5 minutes from the apartment.
The apartment is very convenient for access from the airport, the bus stopping at Puerta Real (just before the apartment) and departing from opposite the entrance. Taxis and city buses are available.
