The nearby cosmoplitan resort of Bodrum has much to offer then holidaymaker .The name was taken from the towns original name of Halicarnassus. Bodrums history is spectacular and 2 main testaments to this are still open for visitors today. The 16th century castle of St Peter has impressive views over the harbour and across to the Greek Island of Kos. The other is the site where the Mausoleum, the tomb of King Mausolos once stood.
