The farmhouse, built in 1896 but carefully modernised, is set in a quiet hamlet about a mile from the small town of Moelan sur Mer and a mile from the sea. It has the benefit of a substantial grassed play area with swings and its own boules pitch.
Experience the peace and tranquility of Southern Brittany. Close to the market town of Moelan sur Mer and the coast, Les Pommiers is ideally situated for walking, cycling or visiting the many beautiful towns and ports that line the southern coast.
The sea and sandy beaches, are about a mile away, and walkers will enjoy exploring stretches of the Brittany coastal path and several small estuaries and ports.
Enjoy alfresco dining (a barbeque is available) in the secluded garden sheltered on two sides by the house and barn. Parking is easy with enough room for 4 or more cars.
About 20 minutes away by car is the attractive town of Pont Aven, once home to Gauguin and the School of Pont Aven, and further afield is the ancient Breton city of Quimper.
Lovers of seafood will find several good restaurants within a few miles, and visitors to Brittany should not neglect the many crêperies in the vicinity. Cyclists will appreciate the many smooth, almost traffic-free, roads.
The completely refitted kitchen has all modern appliances including ceramic hob, oven, micorwave oven and dishwasher. A separate laundry room off the kitchen has a large fridge, a freezer, automatic washing machine and a utility sink. A walk in pantry has room for weeks of shopping.
The Lounge is large enough to accommodate 10-12 people comfortably it is decorated in a typical Breton style and has the benefit of an inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove. Modern touches include a hi-fi that can accept the output of any iPod type device. The window looks out onto the secluded garden.

Moelan lies within easy reach of Vannes,Quimper and Lorient; Brest and Nantes are less than 2 hours drive away.
Calm even in the height of August, has restaurants,, crêperies, bars and shops. It is a thriving market town and is perfect for your immediate needs. There is an Intermarche on the edge of the town and a smaller Shopi in the town itself. Tuesday is market day and you can get to buy and sample much of the regional produce.
Pont Aven
Once a modest village in the Middle-Ages, it is now a beautiful small town still bisected by the river and it still has four of the original 14 watermills. Pont-Aven's unique charm attracted artists enamored with nature and light. That was the beginning of a radical transformation for the village. Painting, one of the oldest art forms, brought it fame, while Paul Gauguin, one of the most admired painters in the world, assured it a place in history. Now it has many galleries and is very pleasant to visit.

Ferries to St Malo or any other Channel port give a choice of crossing versus driving time. Fly to Brest, Lorient, Dinan or Nantes. Car hire is inexpensive and simple.
