Westfield Park Lodge, with imposing arch entrance replete with full size stag and guarding lions was built for Princess Diana’s ancestors as gate lodge to their Westfield estate. Hence the name of the road upon which it is located, Spencer Road, the most prestigious address in Ryde.
Panoramic sea views and stunning sunsets are enjoyed from the comfort of the large lounge, the garden swing, and dining outside in the sheltered courtyard beneath the arch. The Solent, alive with pretty pleasure and racing yachts by day, twinkling lights over the water by night giving a romantic, magical feel to this very special place.
Private gated access to the beach, exclusive to residents of Westfield Park , gives a wide expanse of sandy beach for a quick swim before dinner, hours of sand play, or long walks: the entertainments of Ryde in one direction or secluded tranquillity of woods drifting down to the sea.

Westfield Park Lodge is a unique, detached, single storey Grade 1 listed building set in its own grounds facing the Solent. It is set out to provide spacious, luxury accommodation for 6. Two large double gated entrances with plenty of parking/storage for cars/boat. Two double, one twin bedroom. Luxury Dorma coordinated bedding. Bathroom and shower room each with WC.
Fully fitted solid cherry wood kitchen inc. microwave, dishwasher, TV. Dining area. Washing machine and tumble dryer in utility room.
Large lounge with full width patio doors opening to sea view. Large comfortable down filled sofas and armchairs. Recliner. TV, VCR, DVD. Range of videos, dvds and books. (Blockbuster close by) Courtyard with wrought iron and wooden table and chairs, parasol, barbecue.
Decorative wrought iron staircase to viewing terrace above the lounge – certainly not essential however for those who find stairs difficult as similar views are enjoyed at ground level.
Shops, restaurants, bars are a level 5 minute walk. Ryde Golf Club is just at the end of Spencer Road. Lawn bowls, ten-pin bowling, ice-skating, home of the renowned Raiders ice hockey team, nightclub, tennis courts, traditional sea front entertainments are all within easy walking distance.
Hovercraft and fastcat terminals to Portsmouth and Southsea respectively for 15/7 minute travel to the mainland and frequent connecting train services e.g. hourly 90 minute fast service to Central London.

Private moorings may be arranged at Ryde Marina, a short walk from the Lodge.
