Sandycove Villas can be found on the west coast of Mauritius. Situated on one of the island's most popular beaches, Flic-en-Flac is a 2 minute walk from the complex. The white beaches of Flic-en-Flac stretch for more than a mile long and offer a diver's paradise for those looking for a little more adventure or a slice of heaven for those who want to relax and sunbathe.
The surrounding areas of Flic-en-Flac provide you with all the local facilities you will need to make your holiday more pleasurable. Should you wish to venture out of Sandycove Villas, you will find a variety of banks, restaurants, bar, nightclubs, cyber-cafes and car rental offices all on our door step. The nearby luxurious hotels offer you excellent five star cuisine and for those who prefer the thrilling atmosphere of gambling the casinos are open until the early hours of the morning.
At Sandycove Villas, we can offer you two types of accommodation. We have seven duplex villas for larger groups of up to five and one studio suitable for couples. Each boutique style villa is equipped for self catering and there is air conditioning provided on site for your comfort. We can also provide you with a safe for your peace of mind, although we charge a small (refundable) deposit for the key.
The villas are located in a very quiet rural area of Mauritius. All the villas share access to a communal swimming pool, a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a south facing balcony, sea views, panoramic views. Sun loungers are available for use on request, for use around the swimming pool area. The complex has ample parking for hire cars to the rear of the villas. Conveniently situated in the tourist region of Flic en Flac there are local car hire companies nearby to cater for all your travel needs.
The beach is less than a 2 minute short walk from Sandycove Villas and the local bus stop provides comprehensive links to the rest of the island. Here at Sandycove we will always be happy to answer all your travel queries to make your holiday more relaxing.

For your self-catering needs there is a Spar supermarket, less than 5 minutes walk away. The tourist police patrol the area making this a fun and happy community to holiday in. There is a post-office in town, and car-rental services to provide all your holiday needs.
Diving on the West-Coast
There are more than thirty diving centres around the Island , operating independently. However we would highly recommend: Pierre-Szalay based at Villas Caroline – Flic en Flac – Mauritius - friendly and fun staff who are always willing to help.
Aquarium Mauritius is situated at Pointe Aux Piments, a costal and charming village in the north of the island. The aquarium has adopted a new ecological system of operation and a circuit of tanks will guide you to the depths of the ocean. Our largest tank ‘The Deep' over 15m long, holds a variety of sea creatures which can be seen at close quarters.
The numerous tanks and pools, in five buildings contain rich aquatic life found on and around our tropical island. A ‘touch pool' allows for younger visitors to interact with the marine species, safely. Whether young or old, enjoy a unique experience ‘without the fear of being eaten'.

La Vanille Reserve des Mascareignes (Crocodile Park)
500 Giant tortoises roam free and Bile crocodiles (in safe captivity) as well as a variety of fauna and flora thrive in La Vanille Reserve des Mascareignes. An insectarium shelters not less than 20,000 species of insects, including butterflies from different regions of the world. The restaurant ‘Crocodile Affame' offers local Creole cuisine which includes crocodile dishes for the more adventurous of you.

Situated in the Rivere Noire district, the bird park stretches over 25 hectares and contains more than 140 bird species from all five continents. Other attractions include fishponds, tigers, tortoises, monkeys and deer and orchids.
Take the A10 from the airport to Rose-Hill roundabout, and pick up the A8, leading to the B2.Take the B2 to Flic en Flac where you can pick up the Route Coitere leading to Avenue des perruches.

Rental Notes: We are happy to accept most major credit card bookings, but there is a 3% booking fee or we can arrange to have cheque and bank transfers as well. The minimum deposit is 25% of your holiday cost to hold the property until 8 weeks before your arrival date. We then require full payment of rental period paid 8 weeks in advance of your arrival. There is also an additional £100 breakages deposit, which will be returned to you no later than 14 days after your departure.
