Newly available following refurbishment, La Villa is an elegant house built in the early years of the last century as a county retreat for a prosperous Genoese seafarer and his family. The style of the house reflects its origin, with beautiful tiled floors, marble staircase and windowsills, and large rooms with exceptionally high ceilings and tall windows, which when coupled with its elevated position and open aspect, makes the house surprisingly cool in summer.
The house is south facing and is located on the edge of a small hamlet. Views to the front and sides are truly spectacular, with the Apuan Alps to the east. La Villa sleeps up to 8 in four double bedrooms. A Large south facing balcony off the landing which, catching the morning sun has a spectacular view of the Apuan Alps The master bedroom overlooks the valley and has a king-size double bed. One of the other two bedrooms on this floor has two single beds (can be formed into a double). This room has views across a small meadow to the nearby hamlet. The other has a day bed which converts to a double bed . A door from here leads to a second terrace with views of the Appenines and outside stairs down to the rear garden and pool. On this floor is a bathroom with bath including shower and screen and bidet.
Downstairs is lovely south facing sitting room with a sofa and a sofa bed, a separate dining room with open fire with views across to the pool area. There is a 4th bedroom on this floor with two single beds that can convert into a double. The kitchen is modern with stainless steel surfaces, oven and hob and dishwasher. The kitchen leads out to the large terrace area with newly planted pergola with vines and kewi fruit and large marble topped dining table and chairs. There is a bathroom with toilet, washbasin and shower on this floor.

Local activities in and around Aulla, Tuscany
Sarzana 15 mins way is an historic town with a bustling market and Prada factory shop. Lerichi a beutiful seaside town is 30 mins away as is the Cinque Terre a series of villages clinging to the cliffs. Florence, Pisa and Parma are reached via rail or motoway connections from Aulla, 10 mins from La Villa. These cities are also near enough to drive to. The immediate area is surrounded by hilltop villages and castles. The nearby village (1 km) has a small supermarket, bars and restaurant. Further shops, restaurants etc are available 5 mins drive away and Aulla which is 10 mins drive away is the nearest large town. A Golf Course is at Forti De Marmi (40 mins away) and Tennis is available 15 mins away.
There are a number of villages, towns in the area worth exploring and all have markets. During the summer season there are a number of festas held in the immediate area.
The Villa is equidistant from Pisa, Genoa and Parma airports which are approx 1 hour from Aulla which is 10mins drive away from the Villa. Full directions provided on booking.
