"Courtyard of the Mill" is in the small hamlet of Le Bas Tertrais, 8km west of the pretty, historic castle town of Combourg and approx 20km SE of the old riverside town of Dinan. The lovely beaches of the Emerald coast are 20 mins drive away. The house stands in ½ an acre of beautiful south facing gardens and orchard, with plenty of space for BBQs and outdoor games - football, badminton etc…or just relax to the sound of the neighbouring water mill which is fed by the small lake on the north side of the property.

Le Courtil can sleep 6 in 3 bedrooms; 2 doubles, and a single with bunk beds. The bathroom has bath, shower over bath, basin, electric towel rail and loo. There is ample hot water. The fitted kitchen is equipped with oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave (washing machine in outhouse) plenty of cupboards and a large table and chairs. The living room is a double aspect, large L shaped room with woodburning stove, CD, radio and cassette player, plenty of reading material, maps, games and a file of local attractions, Satellite TV and video. Throughout the house the floors are of wood. The house is amply heated by electric, thermostatically controlled room heaters. The kitchen has a full complement of crockery, cutlery & cooking utensils; duvets and pillows are supplied. Bed linen can be provided (beds made up) at a cost of £10 per bed but please bring your own towels. The English caretaker will prepare the house for your arrival – clean, hot water, a welcome food pack – and she is available to sort any problems during your stay. The nearest large supermarkets are in Combourg. The property is 3 minutes from the main N137 from St Malo to Rennes.

It is approached off a quiet back lane which runs between the nearest village – Chappelle aux Filtzmeens (2km) and the small town of Pleugueneuc (3km). C aux F has a Boulangerie/Patissiere, 2 Bars and Tabac and is a short cycle ride away – 2 bikes provided. Pleugueneuc, also an easy cycle ride away, has a wine merchants, small supermarket, garage, 2 bars, butchers, boulangerie and the local town hall. It’s also the home of Chateau de Bourbansais, which houses a zoo, falconry centre, walking and picnic areas. A wonderful adventure park for children from 1 - 12 years old is also nearby.
It is approached off a quiet back lane which runs between the nearest village – Chappelle aux Filtzmeens it takes 25 minutes to reach the house from St Malo ferry port by car.
