Hampshire offers a rich portfolio of unspoilt countryside, stunning coastlines, historic cities, bustling market towns and some of England’s most picturesque villages. Hampshire’s countryside is perfect for walking/cycling short breaks, with over 3,000 miles of Rights of Way, long distance paths through stunning scenery and off road cycle trails (English Tourist Board).

Southsea is the seafront part of Portsmouth, a historic coastal city, home of the Royal Dockyard. Vist the ships, including HMS Victory Nelson's flagship, the Mary Rose or HMS Warrior.

Newer attractions include the award winning Gunwharf Quays waterfront complex with shops, restaurants, cinemas, bowlplex, and of course the unique Spinnaker Tower with 360 degree views from its 170 m viewing platform.

Southsea has all the usual seaside attractions, miles of seafront, pier, boating lake, funfair, as well as historic attractions like the D-Day museum, Southsea Castle, Round Tower.

Visit the Isle of Wight on the worlds only large passenger hovercraft (a 10 minute ride)

Other interesting cities nearby are Brighton, Chichester, Winchester. London is an hour and a half away.

There are miles of coastline and Hampshire countryside and villages to explore. The New Forest National Park is half an hour away, as is Marwell Zoo.
