Situated 4 miles from the ancient, historic town of Rye and just 7 miles from Tenterden, is the Isle of Oxney. In years gone by the sea surrounded this area as it did the neighbouring hill of Rye Town. Smuggling was the main trade! Camber Sands, a favourite seaside venue is a 15 minute drive. The nearest pub is just over a mile away at Wittersham or the Crown at Stone in Oxney is a mile and a half. Sea 15 mins by car. Rye 10 mins by car. Bodiam castle 20 mins by car.
