Villa Constanteras - Kathikas - Traditional Stone Built Holiday Villa-Private Pool
Villa with 4 Bedrooms, Sleeps 8, Garden, Swimming Pool
Privately set within a walled courtyard, this 19th Century (1883) 4 bedroom stone built property has been renovated to a high standard and offers the most traditional Cypriot village holiday that one will find anywhere on the island.
The property is situated just 500m from the village centre which now offers a good selection of restaurants and tavernas to suit all tastes, 2 bars (with sky TV) and a shop or 2 for groceries. Famous for its vineyards, the village is surrounded by vines and is renowned for the quality of its grapes. Many of the vines have been in the same family for generations. Two very famous wineries open their doors to visitors, so you can enjoy the winemaker's craft. The village is also home to a donkey sanctuary and a tourist information centre.
Extending to almost 170 square meters, the villa is characterised by stone archways, original staircases, bamboo and wood beamed ceilings, stone floors and grand double wooden doors to most rooms to name just a few.
Modern conveniences include fitted kitchen with appliances, chunky leather sofas, Open fireplace, Satellite TV and DVD player, en-suite to most bedrooms, 8m x 4m private swimming pool, BBQ, dining tables and chairs for inside and out, air-conditioning and there is even a Jacuzzi bath to the master bedroom. The property will stay cool in the summer (though can be heated) providing the ideal location for a wonderful family holiday.
On entering the driveway, you immediately sense the traditional Cypriot atmosphere within the courtyard. Access to the property is gained by double wooden doors in to a very large and open plan Lounge/Kitchen/Dining area which provides all comforts as well as many seating areas for relaxation and dining.
The Master Bedroom has a large king sized bed with double doors opening out on to the courtyard and swimming pool. It also has an En-Suite with shower over a Jacuzzi bath. Bedroom 2 next door is the smallest but is still most appealing due to the double sized four poster bed and skylight window. Bedroom 3 is also downstairs and features 2 single sized beds, access out to the courtyard and an En-Suite bathroom. Upstairs is the fourth bedroom with 2 single sized beds and en-suite Shower. Doors open out on to the courtyard and the windows give views to the mountain scenery and distant sea. A quaint and original staircase to the outside of the property leads in and out of this room, to and from the courtyard.
Outside, the courtyard features the swimming pool, parking, a covered seating area, sun loungers and BBQ. The traditional feel is completed by an old water well which sits in the corner. A supply of fresh drinking water is supplied to the property. A welcome pack is included in the price.

Local activities in and around Peyia Coral Bay, Southern Cyprus
The village retains its old world character whilst encouraging selected new developments. There is no main church, but a small chapel serves the needs of the village. The village square has a small taverna where you can enjoy a cool drink whilst sitting under the trees. For fishing fans, the nearest reservoirs are Evretou and Mavrokolympos, whilst the nearest golf course is at the newly refurbished Tsada (10 minutes).
Paphos (20km) consists of two towns, each with its very own character. Ktima on the cliff (Upper Paphos) and Kato Paphos by the sea (Lower Paphos). One is virtually unchanged over the centuries and thoroughly Cypriot, while the other has expanded over the last decade from a sleepy fishing village and harbour, into a vibrant cosmopolitan resort which is expanding and improving each year.
In Kato Paphos, you will find many fine mosaics and buildings from Greek and Roman periods, plus the Harbour Castle. Closeby, is the church of St Paul's Pillar, where the pillar St Paul was tied to can be found. Further down this road are the Tombs of the Kings and Christian Catacombs.
You are only ten minutes drive from Peyia and the Coral Bay resort with all its cafes, bars, restaurants and other entertainment as well as one of the best beaches in Cyprus. You are also only 30 minutes from Paphos airport. Heading East, you can find the route to Cedar Valley and the Troodos Mountains.
An excellent highway runs to all corners of Cyprus but the old coast road is the most scenic route. A drive along here past various ancient sites such as Aphrodite's Birthplace and Temple, towards Limassol, taking in Curium, is delightful and is littered with the most beautiful views.
There are 3 beautiful golf courses in the area all with an individual style. All are within a 30 minute drive. Due to 340 sunshine days per year, Cyprus does offer many other activities but they are of course, too numerous to mention here.

""Thank you so much for our wonderful holiday. We got home at 2am this morning and I'm missing Villa Constanteras and the amazing weather already! We will definitely be in touch about renting the villa again. We were all completely overwhelmed with the villa, my little boy woke up every morning amazed that we had a pool and I spent the first day just repeatedly saying "wow, I cant believe this place"!! All round massive thumbs up from our party!! Vikki - Very happy customer from Ipswich! " " - Review submitted by Vikki from Ipswich - Jun 08

""Brilliant villa that was everything & more than we expected. Very spacious, all mod cons provided & great welcome pack. Villa has been modernised to perfection (in my opinion) where everything is new but is in keeping with a traditional Cypriot built house. Pool & bathing area were private & plenty room. At least 5 restaurants in village & 1 small pub which was English speaking. Overall I would highly recomend this villa & hope to go back again sometime."
