Quietly situated in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, yet with excellent rail & road links to London and the South Coast, this century-old wisteria-clad cottage once housed the estate workers of legendary British Prime Minister, Lloyd George. Now fully renovated and extended, and beautifully furnished with all modern conveniences (CH, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, breadmaker, hairdryers, TVs, videos, DVDs, sound system etc.) Woodpecker Cottage is perfect for holidays, business, and family gatherings over a wide area - being 5 mins from the A3, 10 mins from Farnham & Haslemere, 15 mins from the M3, 20 mins from Guildford/Aldershot and just an hour from London.

Woodpecker Cottage boasts stunning views from every window, hugely comfortable beds (no sofa beds in THIS cottage!) and private woods at your front door. Walks take you past lambs & llamas, badgers and deer. At night the owls call. In the field below the enclosed rear garden, horses are stabled in an historic barn, used as a chapel during World War II.
The charming split-level living room leads to barbecue and outside dining. The bright study is equipped with wireless broadband (free use). The two largest bedrooms have King sized beds. In the other two, a second single bed slides out from under the main single bed and folds up to normal bed height (each bedroom therefore sleeps two). A cot is available.
Bikes are for your use. There is parking for 3 cars.
The cottage is presented immaculately cleaned. Towels and linen are included.
The area is a haven for walking, golfing, cycling, fishing, local swimming (in the river at Tilford and in the medieval Frensham ‘pond’ with its remarkable sandy beach), bird watching and visiting historic country homes – yet London is just an hour North and the South Coast (with sailing and beaches) under an hour South. Children’s activities (Legoland, Chessington) are within easy reach. A Championship golf course is just down the road . . .

2 Double Bedrooms, 2 Twin Bedrooms. In the 'twin' rooms, a second 'proper' bed slides out from under the single bed and folds up to full bed height. One can be moved down to the study to make a fifth bedroom.
Bathrooms:
1 Bathroom, 1 Shower, 2 Separate WC's. There are three WCs (two separate from bathrooms). The shower room is really a Roman bath. You can put the plug in and create a small swimming pool. Four toddlers fit in it together easily.
Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. We also provide bikes - and leave the sprinkler out so children can frolic on the lawn. .

Children Welcome, Not Suitable For Wheelchairs, Suitable For Elderly, Pets Allowed, Sorry - No Smokers.
If elderly people can climb one flight of stairs, they'll be fine. There are WCs on all three floors.
Pets are by arrangement.
