Take time out in this idyllic spot looking out over the coast towards the Lizard Peninsular. Enjoy sea views while having your breakfast in bed. Quietly situated ten minutes pleasant walk along the coast from Porthleven harbour, this former dairy and cow barn has generous ground floor holiday accommodation for two. The Cottage has beamed ceilings and wonderful sea views from all the windows.
The Cottage comprises: (pictured bottom right) Sitting room with dining facilities, T.V, Video, dvd player and Hi-fi. Well equipped kitchen, washing machine, electric cooker, microwave, double bedroom with TV. Bath with shower over, electric storage heating included. Linen provided but not towels. Small garden with patio, parking on site. The property was once a dairy and cowbarn and is still attached to what was the farm house next door.
Porthleven is the most southerly working port in the UK and its historic use can still be seen in the buildings around the harbour. Although its role as a commercial port has long since gone, it is still home to a number of fishing boats, local pleasure craft and visiting yachts.
The village remains unspoilt whilst offering a comprehensive range of services including pubs and award winning restaurants plus a well stocked supermarket ,chemist, newsagent, post office, bakers, fresh fish shop, florist, jewellers and two fish and chip shops. There are galleries and clothing and gift shops. There is a school and medical centre in the residential area above the village.
Surfing on the Porthleven Reef Break is for experienced surfers only but provides an iinteresting spectator sport along with gig rowing.It is a delightful spot which still has a lively Cornish working community.
Just a few minutes walk from the village centre past Sea Pinks the coastal path enters National Trust land at Penrose Park and Loe Bar which provide both coastal and inland river walks Nearby places of interest include:- Penzance, Falmouth, Truro, The Eden Project, St Ives and the Tate Gallery, Newlyn, the Lizard Peninsular, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno, Land’s End and Cape Cornwall.

Local activities in and around Porthleven, South West
Walkers turning left out of Sea Pinks on the coastal path can enjoy various walks, some circular, towards Loe Bar and Gunwalloe or to Helston. Turning right there is a ten minute walk into the village. From here the coastal path takes you west past unspoilt coves to the old mining settlement of Rinsey. Geologists will find the Lizard Peninsular offers some of the most spectacular geological sites in the UK. The Cottage itself is situated on a greenstone dyke.
Garden enthusiasts are spolit for choice as this area has many wonderful gardens to visit such as the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the gardens at Trebah and Trelissick For more information go to links below. Take Portheleven Road from Helston after 1 mile turn left (straight on) to Loe Bar then first left into narrow lane to Loe Bar. At end of road and turn right at big house. Sea Pinks is ahead of you.
