Ste Foy is a true French Alpine village in the Tarentaise Valley in the heart of the Alps. Near to the mega ski resorts of Val d'Isère, Tignes, Les Arcs & La Plagne, in winter Ste Foy is a 'secret off-piste haven for those in the know' (Where to Ski and Snowboard 2006). It has built a deserved reputation as the best kept secret in the Alps. In summer it becomes a retreat for walkers and mountain bikers.
Just 100m from the main lift station, Chalet Morion and Apartment Morion have a panoramic view of the spectacular Tarentaise Valley and the surrounding mountains. Built to the highest specifications, chalet and apartment are available to hire year round. The property consists of a four double-bedroom chalet on the two upper floors (property ref: 2239) and a two double-bedroom apartment on the lower floor (property ref: 2240). The chalet and apartment have separate entrances and are available for renting on a self-catering basis, either separately or jointly.
In our seventh season of operation, the apartment can sleep 4 to 6 people. It's location is tranquil with panoramic views, yet remains convenient for all amenities.
Apartment details: The exceptionally spacious two double-bedroom apartment on the lower floor can accommodate 6 people in total. There are two bedrooms, one is a fixed double and the other has twin beds which can be converted to a double. There is also a double sofa bed in the lounge area. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher. One bedroom has an en-suite shower room and there is also a separate bathroom with bath and shower over. There is a large lounge area and separate ski locker. All bed linen is included in the price.

Terrestrial TV, Video, Radio, CD System, Board Games. There’s a small, well stocked supermarket in resort. Two mountain restaurants and five restaurants in resort serve modern or traditional Savoyard food. A couple of lively bars often have live music.

Parking, Garden Furniture. There is a grassy area just outside the apartment which has a wooden picnic table and benches with a sun umbrella for guests to relax, eat and enjoy the view.

Local activities in and around St Foy, Rhone Alps
Winter skiing: Sainte Foy's ski area is highly regarded and with beautiful pistes, amazing off piste and reliable snow. Restaurants, bars, ski hire and ski lifts are all just 100m from the chalet. There is a small, friendly ski school with excellent English speaking instructors. The cost of a lift pass is around half of the cost of the neighbouring large resorts. For the 2006/2007 season it is just 121 Euros (around UK£82) for 6 days, and includes reduced price days in the nearby resorts of Val d'Isére, Tignes (20 mins), Les Arcs, via Villaroger (10 mins), La Plagne and La Rosière. This is a very suitable base for a holiday with children, with nursery slopes and magic carpet lifts for complete beginners - just 50m from the chalet - and some gentle green and blue runs. Ski passes for the under sevens are free. There are two creches which link up with the ski school. For non-skiers there are facilities for cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, dog sledding, tobogganing, ice climbing and parapenting nearby. Or just relax on the chalet's south and west facing terrace.
Summer: At a height of 1550m the chalet makes a great base for summer stays being surrounded by the Vanoise and Grand Paradis National parks with stunning scenery and 70kms of paths to satisfy all abilities. Walk above the chalet through larch forests, alpine meadows, historic villages and numerous mountain lakes.
Locally the mountain biking is superb and Les Arcs has world class competition descents, running its skilifts for bikers through the summer. Road biking is popular with numerous famous climbs nearby such as the Cormet de Roseland and Col de l'Iseran. Sports available locally include rafting, canoeing, tennis, fishing, horse-riding and climbing amongst others.
