Located between Saint Denis Catus and Gigouzac in the tranquil region of the Lot. It stands in a rural setting with superb views over undulating woodland and open fields. The house retains many of its original features.
It sleeps up to eight people, has a fenced large heated swimming pool in the south facing rear garden with a terraced area around it. 150 metres beyond the garden is the River Vert where keen fishermen can catch trout.
The ground floor (11.5m x 7.5m) is mostly open plan and comprises of a fully fitted kitchen with microwave and dishwasher. The Dining area has a table that comfortably seats eight and the large lounge area has a log burner, TV, DVD/CD/Radio, some DVD`s, games and jigsaw puzzles. On the ground floor there is also a shower room with wash basin, shaver point and separate WC, washing machine, second fridge (ideal for cold drinks) and a freezer. There is a Cot, Buggy, Baby Bouncer and Baby Chair seat.
On the first floor is a further reception room with a double sofabed and pool table. There are three bedrooms. One with a kingsize bed and wardrobe with drawers. One with a double bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe. The third has twin beds and a chest of drawers. Also a large family bathroom.

Local activities in and around Cahors, Midi-Pyrenees
Catus is 6 km away where there is a lake with football pitch, basketball, childrens play equipment, swimming, fishing, boating, restaurants and bars. Walking and Cycling are popular in the area. Markets can be visited in the surrounding villages most days selling local produce. Restaurants can be found in nearly all of the surrounding villages serving good local dishes at very reasonable rates. The local duck and foie gras are a must to be sampled accompanied by an excellent Cahors wine.
If you feel like going out for the day a visit to the Roman town of Cahors with its famous Pont Valentre, shops, markets and abundance of bars and restaurants is recommended just 11 miles away. Take a 35 mile drive along valleys, through picturesque villages to Rocamadour cut into the side of a canyon, this historic pilgrimage stop on the medieval pilgrim route is well worth a visit. Nearby, Le Gouffre de Padirac is an underground system of caverns which can be visited by guided tour which includes a short boat ride on the underground waterways.
For the fishermen the River Lot boasts a wealth of fish including Carp, Barbel and Bream. A rich and productive terrain, Cahors is famous for its rich and natural heritage and just as famous for its rich produce. Cahors wine, truffles, foie gras, Rocamadour cheese, walnuts and Quercy melon are its regional pride.

Rental Notes: A 25% deposit secures a booking with the balance due 6 weeks before arrival. In addition a refundable damage deposit of £200 is required with this payment. Any breakages must be reported. Please strip all bedding and leave neatly in washing basket provided. Please leave the house in a clean and tidy condition. All rubbish please dispose of in the local garbage / recycling bins.
Changeover day is Saturday: Outgoing by 10am; incoming 4pm. Please enquire about special rates for long term rental. Rates for Christmas and New Year on request.
