Half an hour drive from Rome and Rieti, Nerola is perfectly positioned for those who want a mixture of city centre culture and relaxing in the undiscovered Sabina countryside. There is a swimming pool 2 minutes drive away and the famous Farfa Abbey is 15 minutes by car.

The one/two bedroomed house sleeps up to four; the second room being separate from the main lounge-dining room with comfortable 3 seater leather sofabed. Fully equipped kitchen (washing machine, brand new Lofra gas oven and fridge freezer), bathroom with shower, large exposed stone fireplace, upstairs four poster bedroom with parquet wood floor and stunning views.
Car hire essential. Nearest train station Passo Corese (10 mins by car) which stops at various points throughout central Rome (including metro stops) ending directly at Fiumicino Airport. Day trips from Nerola include Rome, Rieti, Salto, Turano and Bracciano lakes, Terminillo (winter ski resort, summer walking) and also the coastal resorts of Fregene and Ostia. Umbria and Tuscany can be reached in an hour: Orvieto and Florence within 2 hours. Nerola itself has a restaurant/pizzaria 2 minutes walk, coffee bar, delicatessens and mini markets. Communal outdoor pool with hill view 2 mins drive. Extra maid service available.

Farfa Abbey: stunningly restored abbey dating back over 1000 years. Sabina countryside: Dramatic rolling hills, olive groves, skiing in winter at Terminillo, fishing, rock clicmbing, horse riding, quad bikes close by. Rome: The Italian Capital - no intro needed! Rieti: A true gem, small town on the river with great restaurants, bars and shops. Recommended "Bistro" on Piazza San Rufo (the exact centre of italy). Lakes: Salto, Turano and Piediluco. All stunning, pedalo hire, dams etc.
Highest waterfalls in Europe: Marmore. A must see - 40 mins drive. Umbria and Tuscany (including Orvieto and Florence) within 2 hours drive for day trips. Near A1 motorway for easy access to day trip locations.
GRA direction north. Autostrada A1 north from Rome Junction 10 on the GRA sign posted Firenze. 1st exit off A1 (Fiano Romano), direction Rieti. Stay on road until signposted Nerola (10 mins).
